1.Merchandiser
\nJob Purpose: To ensure that all products in the convenience store are well-stocked, properly displayed, and promoted effectively to maximize sales and customer satisfaction.
\nKey Responsibilities:
\n\u2013 Arrange shelves and displays to enhance product visibility.
\n\u2013 Monitor stock levels and coordinate with suppliers or procurement team.
\n\u2013 Rotate products based on expiry dates (FIFO).
\n\u2013 Track and report on fast- and slow-moving items.
\n\u2013 Assist in pricing, labeling, and tagging merchandise.
\nRequirements:
\n\u2013 Grade 12 Certificate; diploma in marketing or retail management is an advantage.
\n\u2013 Experience in retail merchandising preferred.
\n\u2013 Good organizational and visual presentation skills.
\n2.Cashier
\nJob Purpose: To handle customer transactions efficiently, maintain accurate cash records, and provide excellent service at the shop or forecourt.
\nKey Responsibilities:
\n\u2013 Process sales using POS systems or cash register.
\n\u2013 Receive and issue receipts for cash, card, or mobile money payments.
\n\u2013 Balance the cash drawer at the start and end of each shift.
\n\u2013 Provide friendly and professional customer service.
\n\u2013 Assist in basic housekeeping and inventory checks.
\nRequirements:
\n\u2013 Grade 12 Certificate with basic mathematics skills.
\n\u2013 Experience in a similar role is an added advantage.
\n\u2013 Trustworthy, alert, and customer-oriented.
\n3.Chef
\nJob Purpose: To prepare, cook, and serve high-quality food items in the fuel station\u2019s kitchen or caf\u00e9 area.
\nKey Responsibilities:
\n\u2013 Plan and prepare meals according to the menu.
\n\u2013 Ensure food safety, hygiene, and cleanliness standards.
\n\u2013 Monitor stock levels of ingredients and kitchen supplies.
\n\u2013 Maintain kitchen equipment and oversee cleanliness.
\n\u2013 Supervise Assistant Chef or kitchen staff.
\nRequirements:
\n\u2013 Certificate or diploma in Food Production or Culinary Arts.
\n\u2013 2+ years\u2019 experience in a similar role.
\n\u2013 Knowledge of Zambian and basic international cuisine is an advantage.
\n4.Assistant Chef
\nJob Purpose: To support the Chef in food preparation, cleanliness, and maintaining kitchen standards.
\nKey Responsibilities.
\n\u2013 Prepare ingredients (chopping, marinating, etc.).
\n\u2013 Maintain cleanliness in the kitchen and food prep areas.
\n\u2013 Assist in serving and packaging orders.
\n\u2013 Store food items properly according to safety standards.
\nRequirements:
\n\u2013 Certificate in Food Production or equivalent.
\n\u2013 Experience in a kitchen or food service environment.
\n\u2013 Willingness to learn and work flexible hours.
\n5.Fuel Attendant
\nJob Purpose: To provide fuel services, assist customers at the pump, and ensure safe operations at the forecourt.
\nKey Responsibilities:
\n\u2013 Dispense fuel accurately and safely.
\n\u2013 Handle payments and provide receipts.
\n\u2013 Clean windscreens, check Tyre pressure, or offer oil checks if needed.
\n\u2013 Keep the forecourt clean and safe.
\n\u2013 Report any equipment faults to the supervisor.
\nRequirements:
\n\u2013 Grade 12 Certificate.
\n\u2013 Honest, friendly, and physically fit.
\n\u2013 Prior experience is an advantage but not mandatory.
\n6.Station Manager
\nJob Purpose: To oversee all fuel station operations including fuel sales, store management, staff supervision, and compliance with safety and financial standards.
\nKey Responsibilities:
\n\u2013 Supervise fuel, shop, and kitchen operations.
\n\u2013 Manage staff schedules, performance, and development.
\n\u2013 Ensure accurate stock management (fuel and retail).
\n\u2013 Submit daily reports on sales, expenses, and stock.
\n\u2013 Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards.
\nRequirements:
\n\u2013 Diploma\/Degree in Business Administration, Sales, or related field.
\n\u2013 3+ years of experience in retail\/fuel station management.
\n\u2013 Strong leadership and problem-solving skills.
\n7.Shop Manager
\nJob Purpose: To manage the day-to-day operations of the convenience store, ensuring profitability, cleanliness, product availability, and excellent customer service.
\nKey Responsibilities:
\n\u2013 Supervise shop staff, merchandising, and cash control.
\n\u2013 Monitor stock levels and coordinate orders.
\n\u2013 Implement pricing, promotions, and display strategies.
\n\u2013 Ensure store cleanliness and customer satisfaction.
\n\u2013 Submit daily shop sales and inventory reports.
\nRequirements
\n\u2013 Diploma in Retail Management, Marketing, or Business Administration.
\n\u2013 2+ years\u2019 experience in retail supervision.
\n\u2013 Excellent organizational and customer service skills.
