CHIEF LIBRARIAN<br \/>\nReports To: Vice Principal<br \/>\nKey Responsibilities:<br \/>\nProvide strategic leadership in the planning, development, and management of library services.<br \/>\nSupervise library operations including acquisition, cataloguing, circulation, and digital resources.<br \/>\nManage library staff and develop professional training programs.<br \/>\nEnsure compliance with institutional policies and standards.<br \/>\nPromote library services to the academic community and support research and learning initiatives.<br \/>\nQualifications and Experience:<br \/>\nA Master\u2019s degree in Library and Information Science (MLIS) or related field from a recognized institution.<br \/>\nA minimum of 7 years post-qualification experience in a reputable academic or research library, with at least 3 years in a senior management role.<br \/>\nProficiency in library automation systems and digital resource management.<br \/>\nStrong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.<br \/>\nMembership in a recognized professional library association is an added advantage.<br \/>\n2. ASSISTANT LIBRARIAN<br \/>\nReports To:\u00a0Chief Librarian<br \/>\nKey Responsibilities:<br \/>\nAssist in cataloguing, classification, and circulation of library materials.<br \/>\nSupport library users in accessing physical and electronic resources.<br \/>\nMaintain records and assist with the organization of library programs.<br \/>\nPerform routine administrative tasks and provide reference services under supervision.<br \/>\nContribute to digital library services and the development of online resources.<br \/>\nQualifications and Experience:<br \/>\nA Bachelor\u2019s degree in Library and Information Science or equivalent from a recognized institution.<br \/>\nA minimum of 2 years relevant working experience in a library environment.<br \/>\nFamiliarity with modern library systems and technologies.<br \/>\nStrong organizational and customer service skills.<br \/>\nWillingness to learn and contribute positively to a team environment.<br \/>\nSharing is Caring!
