For everyone, it means the freedom to decide their own future, creating a fairer, more equal world.<br \/>\nAbout the Role<br \/>\nIs accountable for ensuring successful new product launches (NPD) in Africa that results in the following measures of success.<\/p>\n<p>Achieve NPD sales targets\u00a0(Volume, \u00a3Sales revenue, \u00a3sales margin, % margin)<br \/>\nLaunch Timeliness: Adherence to planned schedules and milestones.<br \/>\nDistribution: #, %\u00a0new customers stocking products<br \/>\nPrescription Rates: % and how frequently healthcare providers (HCPs) prescribe (a key indicator of adoption)<br \/>\nKey Opinion Leader (KOL) Engagement: Assessing the involvement and endorsement of influential medical experts<br \/>\nMarketing investment and campaign effectiveness:\u00a0health care professional recommendation rates; Net Promoter Score (NPS); social media metrics (monitor views, engagement, reach, and click-through rates on social platforms)<\/p>\n<p>Reports directly to Associate Director \u2013 Africa Social Marketing with indirect report to Head of Product Marketing and Trade Marketing.<br \/>\nThere is a very high level of interaction and collaboration with Country Social Marketing leads, marketing, and supply plus Regional team members (product, supply, finance, Medical Development team and Regulatory)<br \/>\nIt is a full-time role for 2 years, based out of a MSI core country where MSI has an operating entity.\u00a0 This role will require extensive travel to MSI Country Programmes in Africa, approx. 40% time.<br \/>\nAbout You<br \/>\nFor us, it\u2019s vital that every MSI team member believes in and is committed to our organisational mission, vision and values.<br \/>\nThis means that we will only accept applications from candidates who are unequivocally pro-choice.<br \/>\nOur values act as guiding principles, providing us with a clear direction. You should be dedicated to driving social change in an environment focused on sustainable impact, both locally and globally, and comfortable working with diverse teams in an ambiguous setting.<br \/>\nTo perform this role, you\u2019ll need the following skills:<br \/>\nNEW PRODUCT LAUNCHES<\/p>\n<p>Strong skills in product launch process: fully conversant in the steps of product development\u00a0Idea generation (Ideation and idea screening). Can evaluate ideas against business objectives; assess technical feasibility, can estimate potential market size, product specification definition, Prototyping (can create product concept), initial design (design packaging), validation and testing, create final financial projections<br \/>\nExtremely strong in launch execution and strategic planning:\u00a0develop and execute comprehensive launch plans with timelines, milestones, and resource allocation.<br \/>\nProject Management: Strong organisational abilities to manage timelines and deliverables across multiple teams<br \/>\nMarket Knowledge:\u00a0Deep understanding of consumer needs, competitive landscape in Africa<br \/>\nIn-depth understanding of regulatory processes, pharma ethics and clinical data interpretation\u00a0and in both consumer and scientific communication<br \/>\nAnalytical Skills: Proficiency in data analysis tools like Excel for post-launch performance evaluation<\/p>\n<p>LEADERSHIP, COACHING, COMMUNICATION<\/p>\n<p>Communication: Clear and persuasive communication, including the ability to present complex data in an understandable manner. Skilled in powerpoint and other presentation software.<br \/>\nGood interpersonal skills: strong relationship-building abilities; cultural sensitivity and adaptability; empathy and active listening skills.<br \/>\nTraining\/coaching:\u00a0Can adapt sales training\/coaching as needed, able to flex to ensure teams learn and grow. Understand features and benefits of products and able to create selling arguments.<\/p>\n<p>Strategic Thinking: Ability to create actionable plans and prioritise tasks in fast paced, dynamic environments<\/p>\n<p>To perform this role, you\u2019ll need the following experience:<\/p>\n<p>Pharmaceutical \/ healthcare acumen: 5-10 years in pharmaceutical industry marketing\/product launch roles<br \/>\nRegulatory: experience navigating complex regulatory environments<br \/>\nPharmaceutical Product Knowledge\u00a0\u2013 have experience in learning about new types of drugs, including: mechanism of action; therapeutic uses; pharmacology expertise and regulatory compliance knowledge<br \/>\nNew product launches: Track record of successful pharmaceutical \/ consumer launches and of meeting aggressive launch timelines<br \/>\nTeam leadership: proven ability to lead cross-functional teams in delivering major products or services<br \/>\nProblem solving:\u00a0wide experience in creating responses to NPD and sales challenges<\/p>\n<p>Ideally,<\/p>\n<p>Relevant sales, product marketing or training certifications (e.g., Certified Sales Professional, Certified Training Professional). Industry-specific certifications related to pharmaceuticals or healthcare<br \/>\nHave worked and developed Trade Marketing strategies<\/p>\n<p>Location: London UK (hybrid working \u2013 minimum of 2 days per week in the office) or where any country programme MSI operates in.\u00a0<br \/>\nFull-time:\u00a035 hours a week, Monday to Friday (For UK based team members).<br \/>\nContract type: 2-year fixed term contract.<br \/>\nSalary:\u00a0\u00a340,000 \u2013 \u00a351,000 per annum for UK based candidates. Discretionary bonus + benefits.\u00a0For all other locations, the salary will be banded within the national context.<br \/>\nSalary band: BG 9<br \/>\nClosing date: 24th June 2025 (midnight BST).
