CAR SPRAY PAINTER (X1)<br \/>\nReports to\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0: Workshop \u00a0Manager<br \/>\nDepartment\u00a0\u00a0: Maintenance<br \/>\nLocation \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0: \u00a0Chingola Office<br \/>\nRESPONSIBILITIES<\/p>\n<p>Meeting with work managers to discuss design and color choices.<br \/>\nRemoving rust and other loose materials using acid or a wire brush.<br \/>\nFilling, sanding, and smoothing surfaces that need to be sprayed.<br \/>\nApplying masking tape and coverings over areas that are not being sprayed.<br \/>\nSelecting and mixing the required coating liquids.<br \/>\nSelecting and attaching the correct spray nozzle to create the desired spray pattern.<br \/>\nSpraying machines, products, and wall areas using industry techniques.<br \/>\nSpraying designs using stencils, if required.<br \/>\nCleaning spray cans, nozzles, and other spraying equipment after each spray job.<br \/>\nInspecting and assessing spray coatings after the paint has dried.<\/p>\n<p>REQUIREMENTS<\/p>\n<p>Diploma in automotive collision repair is preferred.<br \/>\nExperience working as a spray painter.<br \/>\nExcellent hand-eye coordination.<br \/>\nIn-depth knowledge of paint mixing and spraying techniques.<br \/>\nAbility to see subtle colour differences.<br \/>\nExperience with breathing masks and protective clothing.<br \/>\nAbility to work with acid and harsh chemicals.<br \/>\nAbility to stand for long periods.<\/p>\n<p>Sharing is Caring!
