\nThe key responsibilities for this role include but not limited to the following:<\/p>\n
Undertakes month end, half year and year end close actions;
\nReconciles all balance sheet accounts and clears all general ledger error accounts monthly;
\nReviews all supplier reconciliation and performs interconnect reconciliation;
\nChecks that monthly accrual list is correctly computed, allocated and posted to the General Ledger;
\nMaintains chart of accounts and general ledger unique to each individual program;
\nChecks completeness of month end files and all relevant information;
\nChecks cash availability and daily cash positions and inter account\/bank transfers;
\nReviews and signs off bank reconciliations and general ledger account reconciliation;
\nIdentifies daily activity in bank accounts;
\nApplies correct computation of foreign exchange gain\/loss;
\nEnforces cash management policies and compliance with procedures;
\nDelivers first time right service excellence;
\nHandles all escalated queries from administrator;
\nExtracts data from the system in response to queries received for information;
\nProduction of financial statements;
\nAssists with the preparation of other reports provided to management;
\nDaily custody account reconciliations and exceptional reporting, as well as monitoring operational finance risk in mobile money, and reporting of progress and actions required to maintain plans on course;
\nMonthly reconciliation of interest accounts and any MTN Mobile Money Limited accounts held with partners;
\nEnsures that liabilities, such as taxes and garnishments, are paid timely;
\nDocuments identified key risks, issues and dependencies and sets mitigation actions, with guidance from the functional lead.<\/p>\n
Candidate Requirements<\/p>\n
Grade 12 certificate with 5 credit or better of which English and Mathematics are a must;
\nDegree in Accounting, Finance, Business Management, or equivalent field;
\nExperience of three (2) years in an accounting\/reconciliation or allied field is required;
\nExperience in Fintech, banking or Telecom is advantageous.<\/p>\n
