Yalelo is looking for a highly motivated, energetic, and hard-working individual to work as an Tax & Reporting Accountant. The Tax & Reporting Accountant will provide support to the finance department by ensuring compliance with all Tax related matters.
\nThe\u202fRight-Fit\u202fcandidate will:
\nKey Responsibilities<\/p>\n
Prepare and submit all statutory tax returns (VAT, Withholding Tax, PAYE, Income Tax) in compliance with local tax laws.
\nPerform monthly bank reconciliations for all company bank accounts.
\nPass accurate and complete month-end journal entries and ensure timely ledger closings.
\nManage and maintain the fixed assets register, including additions, disposals, tagging, depreciation, and periodic physical verification.
\nHandle company insurance matters including renewals, claims follow-up, and ensuring adequate cover is maintained.
\nCompile and analyze operating expenses schedules, investigate variances, and provide insights to support management decisions.
\nLiaise with auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory authorities during audits and reviews.
\nDrive improvements in financial processes and internal control systems.
\nIntercompany transactions reporting.<\/p>\n
\u00a0The Essentials:<\/p>\n
Bachelor\u2019s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
\nLevel 2 Professional certification such as CA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent.
\nMinimum 3 years of relevant experience in tax, reporting, or general accounting roles.
\nStrong understanding of IFRS and local tax laws.
\nProficiency in MS Excel and ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Sage, or Dynamics NAV.<\/p>\n
