Role:
\nReporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the successful candidate shall ensure efficient, timely handling and
\nmaintenance of all accounting and administrative services in the company.
\nKey Responsibilities<\/p>\n
Provide bookkeeping and accounting services
\nPrepare annual budget in line with financial objectives
\nPrepare fortnightly, monthly and quarterly management accounts for review
\nMeasure financial performance of the business against budget
\nEnhance financial management manual to improve efficiencies
\nMaintain client and vendor accounts updated with payments
\nPrepare monthly reconciliations of client and business accounts
\nInitiate payments on the online banking platform
\nManage monthly payroll and ensure statutory returns are filed and paid
\nEnsure compliance with any other statutory bodies i.e. PACRA, Workman\u2019s Compensation, ZRA, NAPSA etc.
\nPay regulatory subscription fees
\nIssue invoices on the ZRA smart invoice platform
\nHandle administration related tasks, including but not limited to the following:<\/p>\n
Manage filing, handle IT matters through outsourced resource
\nOversee transport issues, handle mail, petty cash, attend to clients and manage the
\ncompany assets and ensure they are in good working conditions<\/p>\n
Qualifications, experience and skills:\u00a0<\/p>\n
Full Grade 12 certificate with five (5) \u2018O\u2019 levels
\nDegree in Accountancy \/ Business Administration OR equivalent professional qualifications such as ZICA,
\nACCA or CIMA
\nMinimum of 3 years relevant working experience
\nComputer literate with working knowledge of relevant accounting packages
\nKnowledge of the Companies Act and relevant administrative procedures
\nExcellent knowledge of relevant statutory requirements such as ZRA Tax regulations, NAPSA, Workers
\nCompensation etc.
\nSelf \u2013 management practices with excellent planning, organizing, communication, and problem-solving skills
\nEnterprising, creative, Initiative and ability to work with minimum supervision
\nTeam player with excellent interpersonal skills
\nHigh levels of integrity
\nMembership of relevant professional body<\/p>\n
