\n1. HEAVY MINE EQUIPMENT SUPERVISORS X 3
\nThis position reports to the Maintenance Manager\/Project Manager. Successful candidate will be responsible for the below duties.
\nJOB SUMMARY
\nThe Mine Heavy Equipment Supervisor is responsible for supervising, coordinating, and ensuring the effective maintenance and repair of heavy mining equipment and mobile plant machinery. This role ensures that mechanical systems operate efficiently and safely, supporting production goals while minimizing downtime and maintenance costs.
\nResponsibilities<\/p>\n
Supervise and coordinate daily maintenance activities for heavy mobile equipment such as haul trucks, bulldozers, loaders, excavators, and graders.
\nDevelop and enforce preventive maintenance schedules and standards to minimize equipment downtime.
\nTroubleshoot mechanical faults and failures, ensuring quick resolution through repair or replacement of parts.
\nMaintain accurate records of maintenance logs, work orders, and equipment performance.
\nEnsure the availability of spare parts and tools; coordinate with procurement and inventory teams.
\nMonitor technician performance, provide technical guidance, and conduct training where necessary.
\nEnsure compliance with all safety regulations, policies, and procedures (e.g. OSHA regulations).
\nCollaborate with other departments (e.g., operations, planning, and engineering) to align maintenance schedules with production goals.
\nConduct regular inspections and audits on mechanical systems and equipment.
\nImplement continuous improvement initiatives for maintenance strategies and equipment reliability.
\nPrepare reports on equipment status, downtime analysis, and maintenance KPIs for management review.
\nDevelop, implement, and maintain safe work procedures and promote high safety and health awareness. Promote and comply with the Occupational Health & Safety Policy.
\nBe responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the team.
\nEnsure appropriate facilities, procedures, and workforce competence to achieve legal compliance, incident prevention and the achievement of tasks in an environmentally sustainable manner.<\/p>\n
Qualifications, Knowledge & Experience<\/p>\n
Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
\nMinimum 5\u20138 years of experience in mechanical maintenance of heavy mining equipment.
\nAt least 2\u20133 years in a supervisory or leadership role within a mining environment.
\nStrong knowledge of hydraulic, diesel engine, and mechanical systems.
\nFamiliar with equipment from OEMs such as Caterpillar, Komatsu, Hitachi, or Liebherr.
\nProficient in using CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems).
\nAbility to interpret technical drawings, manuals, and schematics.
\nMust have a valid driver\u2019s license.<\/p>\n
