\nWe are therefore inviting applications to fill the below vacant positions for Kansanshi Site.
\n1. RIGID DUMP TRUCK OPERATORS X 26
\nThis position reports to the PIC. Successful candidate will be responsible for the below duties.
\nJOB SUMMARY
\nThe Rigid Dump Truck Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of heavy-duty haul trucks used to transport materials such as ore, waste rock, soil, and aggregates across mining or construction sites. The role requires a strong commitment to safety, equipment care, and productivity
\nResponsibility<\/p>\n
Assess the work areas and identify all hards and fix them if they fall to your knowledge and ability.
\n\u00a0Inspect truck equipment and supplies such as tires, lights, brakes, gas, oil, water and all fluids and perform pre and post trip inspections and any defects are reported and repaired before use.
\nEnsure that all company safety, health and environmental procedures along with any specific client requirements are implemented and adhered to.
\nEnsure that the personnel protective equipment(PPE) necessary for the operations is utilized and put on rightly and in right places at all times.
\nEnsuring that speed limits and road signs in place are observed to reduce the risk and all reasonable measures are implemented to avoid accident.
\n\u00a0Operate Rigid Dump Trucks and haul tons of materials to the destination site.
\n\u00a0Accurately enter\/ record hours worked and other information into the daily work sheet.
\nKeeping the truck clean and in good working order.
\n\u00a0Ensuring that the machinery is not overloaded and comply with the load restrictions.
\nMaintain high standards of conduct and comply with all relevant rules and requirements.
\nEnsure a minimum distance of two-truck widths is maintained between trucks when more than one truck is dumping at any given time.
\nParticipate in workplace skills assessment and training required.
\nGive feedback on constraints to supervisor\/subordinates as and when necessary.
\nCarry out any activities as assigned by the Supervisor.<\/p>\n
Qualifications, Knowledge & Experience<\/p>\n
Grade 12 certificate.
\nMachine specific training and certification.
\nOperating Permit.
\nMinimum 2 years\u2019 experience as RD operator and open pit mining set up.
\nMust possess knowledge on how to do the pre- start on the machine.
\nMust be able to identify defects.
\nMust be conversant with controls\/parts and their functions on a machine.
\nMust possess knowledge about machine shut down and emergency procedures.<\/p>\n
2. DOZER OPERATORS X 5
\nThis position reports to the PIC. Successful candidate will be responsible for the below duties.
\nJOB SUMMARY.
\nThe Dozer Operator is responsible for operating a bulldozer safely and efficiently to move earth, rock, or other materials on mining or construction sites. The operator must follow site-specific safety procedures and production goals while maintaining equipment and reporting any faults or damage.
\nResponsibility<\/p>\n
Operate dozers (e.g., CAT D8, D9, D10) in a safe and effective manner.
\nPush, spread, or level soil, rocks, or debris to specification.
\nConduct daily pre-start inspections and report any mechanical issues.
\nFollow site plans, grade stakes, or markings for work direction.
\nMaintain cleanliness and serviceability of the dozer.
\nWork collaboratively with other heavy equipment operators and ground staff.
\nMonitor equipment gauges and indicators to ensure safe operation.
\nAdhere strictly to all health, safety, and environmental policies.<\/p>\n
Qualifications, Knowledge & Experience<\/p>\n
Grade 12 School Certificate or equivalent.
\nValid Dozer Operating License (issued by RTSA or relevant authority).
\nMinimum 3 years of experience operating heavy dozers in mining, construction, or roadwork.
\nFamiliarity with brands like Caterpillar, Komatsu, or Liebherr is an added advantage.
\nBasic mechanical knowledge and ability to perform minor repairs.
\nPhysically fit and able to work long shifts in remote or challenging environments.<\/p>\n
3. EXCAVATOR OPERATOR SPECIALIST IN BATTERS X 8
\nThis position reports to the PIC. Successful candidate will be responsible for the below duties.
\nJOB SUMMARY
\nWe are seeking an experienced Excavator Operator who specializes in creating and finishing batters to join our join our team. The successful candidate will demonstrate precision, attention to detail, and a strong understanding of earthworks, site levels, and slope finishing to specification. This role is critical to delivering safe, stable, and compliant earth structures on site.
\nResponsibilities<\/p>\n
Operate excavators ranging from [e.g. 5 to 30 tonnes] for earthmoving and batter shaping tasks.
\nCreate, trim, and maintain batters to design specifications and correct slope gradients.
\nInterpret site plans, drawings, and levels to ensure batter accuracy and drainage compliance.
\nWork alongside surveyors, site engineers, and other plant operators to maintain project timelines.
\nConduct daily pre-start checks and basic maintenance of excavator machinery.
\nAdhere to WHS standards and report hazards or incidents immediately.
\nMaintain a clean and organized work area.
\nAssist with other civil duties as required.<\/p>\n
Qualifications, Knowledge & Experience<\/p>\n
Grade 12 School Certificate or equivalent.
\nValid Excavators Operating Certificate
\nProven experience operating excavators in civil or earthworks environments.
\nDemonstrated expertise in forming and finishing batters to tolerance.
\nAbility to read and understand plans and use laser levels or GPS systems.
\nWhite Card (Construction Induction Card).
\nRelevant Excavator Operator ticket\/license (e.g., RIIMPO320F or equivalent).
\nDriver\u2019s licence and reliable transport.
\nStrong awareness of safety, site procedures, and environmental compliance<\/p>\n
