One of the country\u2019s leading beverage manufacturing companies, is seeking a proactive and technically skilled\u00a0Utilities Process Control Technician\u00a0to join our\u00a0Technical Services\u00a0department. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and optimizing the control systems supporting our utility operations including water treatment, refrigeration, steam generation, and compressed air systems. This role is vital to ensuring continuous, safe, and efficient operations across all utilities infrastructure within the plant.
\nKey Responsibilities<\/p>\n
Monitor, maintain, and optimize utilities-related control systems (PLCs, SCADA, sensors, actuators).
\nTroubleshoot and resolve technical faults in electrical and control systems affecting utilities.
\nPerform routine calibrations, inspections, and preventative maintenance on process control equipment.
\nCollaborate with maintenance and engineering teams to enhance system efficiency and reliability.
\nEnsure compliance with safety, environmental, and health standards during all maintenance activities.
\nDocument all maintenance and repair activities accurately using company systems.
\nSupport the commissioning of new utility control systems and participate in system upgrades.
\nParticipate in root cause analysis for any process control failures or incidents.
\nTrain and support plant personnel on control system usage and safety protocols.<\/p>\n
Qualifications and Experience<\/p>\n
Grade 12 School Certificate
\nDiploma or Degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering
\nMinimum of 2 years\u2019 experience in a process plant environment, ideally in manufacturing or utilities
\nExperience with PLCs, SCADA systems, and industrial automation technologies
\nStrong knowledge of electrical systems, instrumentation, and safety standards
\nExcellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
\nAbility to work independently under minimal supervision and in a team
\nEffective communication and technical reporting skills
\nWillingness to work in shifts and respond to emergencies as needed<\/p>\n
