\nAller Aqua Zambia Limited invites applications from suitably qualified candidates to fill the position of Laboratory Technician. The role reports to the Laboratory Supervisor and will be based at the Aller Aqua Zambia Factory, in Siavonga.
\n\u00a0
\nKEY RESPONSIBILITIES:<\/p>\n
Analys of proximate composition of raw materials and feed using NIRS.
\nFollow standard operating procedures of quality assurance department.
\nAssist the quality team in gathering quality related data.
\nAnalys physical characteristics of feed.
\nCommunication of results in written and verbal form to superiors and the team.
\nCommunication of the stock of consumables to laboratory supervisor in due time.
\nEnsure proper storage of feed samples.
\nMaintain and calibrate laboratory instruments, such as moisture analysers and microscopes, ensuring they work properly.
\nEnsure maintenance and proper use of laboratory equipment.
\nEnsure and uphold sanitary state in the laboratory.
\nCommunication of results in written form (Excel and Online Quality Management System).
\nEnsure compliance with safety and hygiene standards, including wearing protective gear and cleaning the lab daily.
\nDuties that are incidental to the employee\u2019s position<\/p>\n

\nQUALIFICATION, SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 :<\/p>\n
Full Grade Twelve School Certificate (GCE)
\nDiploma or Bachelor\u2019s Degree in Laboratory Technology or related in biological science field.
\nAt least 1 year of experience in a similar role, preferably in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
\nProficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
\nExcellent communication and organizational skills.
\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills.
\nMale candidates are preferred due to the physical demands of the role and mill environment.<\/p>\n
