\nKings Chemicals Ltd is expanding its operations with a state-of-the-art milling plant. We are seeking a qualified and experienced Electrical Engineer to join our team. \nI. JOB PURPOSE
\nReporting to the Head Miller, the Electrical Engineer will be responsible for the day-to-day inspection, repair, and maintenance of all electrical and mechanical equipment on site to ensure optimal plant performance.
\nII. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES<\/p>\n
Monitor and adjust plant set points to ensure efficient operation.
\nInspect all electrical and mechanical equipment on site regularly.
\nIdentify and repair potential and existing defects.
\nCarry out scheduled preventive maintenance.
\nPerform electrical fault-finding and repairs.
\nReview daily reports and liaise with the Head Miller on necessary actions.
\nInstall system upgrades and improvements to electrical systems.
\nDiagnose electrical issues using a range of testing devices.
\nSupport the process team in achieving optimal equipment performance.
\nMinimize unplanned downtime through regular maintenance.
\nMaintain an inventory of spare parts and critical components.
\nCoach and develop junior staff on operational best practices.
\nRepair or replace defective components such as motors, controllers, switchboards, batteries, and switches.<\/p>\n
III. QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE<\/p>\n
Bachelor\u2019s Degree in Electrical Engineering.
\nMinimum 5 years\u2019 experience in a milling plant or similar industrial setting.
\nStrong knowledge of grain milling equipment.
\nExperience reading blueprints and technical drawings.
\nProficiency in fabrication, wiring, panel installation, and harness assembly.
\nStrong computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
\nGood problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.
\nAbility to communicate effectively in English, both written and oral.
\nPhysically fit and capable of working in confined spaces, at heights, and in extreme temperatures as needed.<\/p>\n
