Role Purpose:
\nTo support the Finance Department in maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with statutory and internal requirements. The role is critical in supporting month-end closings, reconciliations, and overall financial integrity of the organization.
\nKey Responsibilities:
\nFinancial Reporting and Transactions<\/p>\n
Prepare and post journal entries and general ledger reconciliations.
\nAssist with the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
\nMaintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.<\/p>\n
Accounts Payable and Receivable<\/p>\n
Process supplier invoices and ensure timely payments.
\nTrack receivables and follow up on outstanding balances.
\nPerform regular reconciliations of customer and supplier accounts.<\/p>\n
Budget Monitoring<\/p>\n
Support budget preparation and assist in monitoring expenditure against budgets.
\nFlag any variances and support departmental cost control initiatives.<\/p>\n
Statutory Compliance<\/p>\n
Prepare and file VAT, PAYE, NAPSA, and other statutory returns accurately and on time.
\nMaintain proper documentation and support audits and statutory reviews.<\/p>\n
Internal Controls and Systems<\/p>\n
Ensure adherence to financial policies and procedures.
\nSupport system improvements and implementation of finance tools or ERPs.<\/p>\n
Qualifications and Experience:<\/p>\n
Bachelor\u2019s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
\nZICA Licentiate \/ ACCA \/ CIMA (part-qualified or qualified).
\nMinimum 2\u20133 years of relevant accounting experience.
\nProficiency in accounting software (e.g., Sage, QuickBooks, or ERP systems).
\nStrong MS Excel skills.<\/p>\n
