{"id":4122,"date":"2025-07-01T12:02:07","date_gmt":"2025-07-01T12:02:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/jobs.dataaxisnode.com\/zambia\/job\/credit-controller-at-josile-consulting\/"},"modified":"2025-10-25T00:14:32","modified_gmt":"2025-10-25T00:14:32","slug":"credit-controller-at-josile-consulting","status":"expired","type":"job_listing","link":"https:\/\/jobs.dataaxisnode.com\/zambia\/?post_type=job_listing&p=4122","title":{"rendered":"Credit Controller at Josile Consulting"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Job Purpose: \u00a0To manage and monitor customer credit accounts, ensuring timely collection of outstanding debts while maintaining good client relationships and minimizing financial risk to the company.<br \/>\nKey Responsibilities<br \/>\n\u2013 Review and evaluate customer credit applications in line with company policy.<br \/>\n\u2013 Set and monitor customer credit limits and payment terms.<br \/>\n\u2013 Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer account records.<br \/>\n\u2013 Proactively follow up on overdue accounts through calls, emails, and written notices.<br \/>\n\u2013 Negotiate payment arrangements with customers when necessary.<br \/>\n\u2013 Escalate persistent non-payments to legal or management for further action.<br \/>\n\u2013 Prepare and circulate weekly and monthly debtors\u2019 reports.<br \/>\n\u2013 Reconcile customer accounts and resolve discrepancies in collaboration with sales and accounts.<br \/>\n\u2013 Monitor aging of accounts receivable and report on credit risk exposure.<br \/>\n\u2013 Liaise with the sales and operations teams to resolve client queries or blocked orders due to overdue balances.<br \/>\n\u2013 Advise on the release of goods\/services on credit terms based on creditworthiness and payment history.<br \/>\n\u2013 Ensure proper documentation is maintained for all credit transactions and communications.<br \/>\nQualifications &amp; Experience:<br \/>\n\u2013 Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.<br \/>\n\u2013 3+ years\u2019 experience in credit control, accounts receivable, or debt collection.<br \/>\n\u2013 Strong knowledge of credit risk assessment and financial documentation.<br \/>\n\u2013 Experience in working with ERP\/accounting software (e.g., Sage, Pastel, QuickBooks).<br \/>\n\u2013 Must be a registered member of **ZICA (Zambia Institute of Chartered Accountants).<br \/>\n\u2013 ACCA, CIMA, or any additional credit control training\/certification is an added advantage.<br \/>\nKey Competencies<br \/>\n\u2013 Excellent negotiation and communication skills.<br \/>\n\u2013 High attention to detail and accuracy.<br \/>\n\u2013 Ability to handle difficult conversations professionally.<br \/>\n\u2013 Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.<br \/>\n\u2013 High integrity and respect for confidentiality.<br \/>\nSharing is Caring!
