ACCOUNTANT
\nWe are looking to place an Accountant on behalf of our client to help the business make critical financial decisions by collecting, tracking, and correcting the company\u2019s finances. You will be responsible for financial audits, reconciling bank statements, and ensuring financial records are accurate throughout the year. Ultimately, you will provide our client with accurate quantitative information on financial position, liquidity and cash flows of their business, while ensuring they are compliant with all statutory regulations.
\nKey responsibilities:<\/p>\n
Tracking payments to internal and external stakeholders
\nWrite cheques, raise vouchers, post transactions in Pastel Accounting software
\nPreparing budget forecasts
\nPayroll processing
\nProcessing Statutory payments and returns
\nManage all accounting transactions
\nProduce financial statements in time
\nHandle monthly, quarterly and annual closings
\nReconcile accounts payable and receivable
\nEnsure timely bank payments and deposits
\nCompute taxes and prepare tax returns
\nPrepare and Manage balance sheets and profit\/loss statements
\nReport on the company\u2019s financial health and liquidity
\nOversee Audits
\nReinforce financial data confidentiality and conduct database backups when necessary
\nComply with financial policies and regulations
\nOther tasks as required<\/p>\n
Qualifications & Experience:<\/p>\n
BSc in Accounting, Finance or relevant degree
\n3-5 years relevant experience in either external and\/or internal accounting function
\nA good command of spoken and written English
\nCompetent and literate with the following packages: Pastel Accounting system, Dove Payroll, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
\nStrong organizational, time management skills and effective communication skills
\nProficiency in processing transactions.
\nAbility to work and perform under pressure with tight deadlines
\nAdvanced MS Excel skills
\nExperience with general ledger functions
\nStrong attention to detail and good analytical skills
\nMembership of a professional Body is a MUST<\/p>\n

Office Hours
\nYour regular working hours are from 08:00hrs to 17:00hrs on weekdays
