The Conservation farming Unit (CFU) is a local organisation dedicated to supporting smallholder farmers through sustainable agricultural practices, promotion of agroforestry, regenerative agriculture, and climate-smart techniques to enhance productivity while fostering healthy ecosystems and ensuring resilient livelihoods. The CFU will be implementing a six-month project aimed at Promoting Climate Smart Agriculture for Improved Productivity and Sustainable Livelihoods, working together GIZ in 6 districts of Central and Southern provinces.
\nJob Title: Monitoring and Evaluation Specialist
\nJob Location: Lusaka with frequent travel to project sites
\nKEY RESPONSIBILITIES<\/p>\n
Developing and Implementing M&E frameworks which include creating results frameworks, indicators, and data collection tools.
\nData Collection and Analysis \u2013 Gathering and analyzing both qualitative and quantitative data from various sources, using tools like surveys, interviews, and focus groups etc.
\nMonitoring Project Progress \u2013 Regularly tracking project activities against established targets and timelines.
\nReporting and Communication \u2013 Preparing regular reports for stakeholders, including donors, program managers, and other relevant parties, highlighting progress, challenges, and lessons learned.
\nCapacity Building \u2013 Training and supporting field staff on M&E procedures and best practices.
\nEnsuring Data Quality \u2013 Implementing measures to ensure the accuracy, reliability, and validity of data.
\nFacilitating Evaluations \u2013 Supporting the planning and implementation of mid-term and final evaluations, including the development of terms of reference and analysis of evaluation findings.
\nPromoting Learning and Improvement \u2013 Using M&E findings to inform project adjustments and improve future program design and implementation.
\nMaintaining M&E Systems \u2013 Ensuring the effective operation of monitoring and evaluation information management systems.<\/p>\n
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE<\/p>\n
Full Grade 12 Certificate.
\nMinimum of a Bachelor\u2019s Degree in Statistics, Economics, Research methods, Social sciences or Development studies
\nAt least 5 years working experience in MEL related activities\/assignments
\nStrong analytical and data management skills are essential, experience with both quantitative and qualitative methodologies.
\nSpecific experience in designing and implementing M&E systems, as well as strong communication and project management skills
\nExperience in working with ODK, SPSS, STATA and KoBoToolbox computer packages
\nIn possession of a valid driver\u2019s license<\/p>\n
