A reputable company in Ndola is seeking an organized, detail-oriented Stock Controller to manage our inventory operations.
\nThe responsibilities of the Stock Controller include maintaining storage and distribution of stock, overseeing inventory audits and maintaining reports of purchases and pricing. The ideal candidate should be familiar with supply chain
\nprocedures and have good communication skills to interact with vendors, clients, and internal teams.
\nThe role of the Stock Controller is to ensure that our supply chain and inventory operations run smoothly, meeting business requirements and client demands. Your work environment will be a warehouse setting, and you will report directly to the Operations Director.
\nResponsibilities
\n1. Inventory Management<\/p>\n
Monitor stock levels to ensure availability of products.
\nConduct regular audits to maintain accuracy.
\nImplement reorder procedures to avoid stock outs or overstocking.<\/p>\n
2.\u00a0 Supplier Coordination\u00a0<\/p>\n
Act as the liaison between the company and suppliers.
\nNegotiate terms and manage supplier relationships to ensure timely delivery.
\nCoordinate the receipt of goods and manage shipments effectively.<\/p>\n
3. Quality Control<\/p>\n
Ensure that received and stored products meet quality standards.
\nAddress discrepancies\u00a0or damage with suppliers promptly.
\nImplement quality checks within the logistics process.<\/p>\n
4. Data Analysis and Reporting<\/p>\n
Utilize inventory management software to track stock levels and generate reports.
\nAnalyze data to forecast future inventory requirements.
\nProvide actionable insights to management based on stock trends.<\/p>\n
Qualifications<\/p>\n
Proven work experience as a stock controller, inventory supervisor or similar role. Experience in the agriculture sector will be an added advantage.
\nAttention to detail to maintain accurate inventory records.
\nStrong analytical skills for interpreting stock data.
\nExcellent communication skills for interacting with suppliers and other departments.
\nProficiency in inventory management systems and relevant software tools.
\nDegree\/Diploma in Business Administration, Logistics or relevant field.<\/p>\n
