\nJob Title:\u00a0Consultant \u2013 Network Planning & Optimization
\nThe key responsibilities for this role include but not limited to the following:<\/p>\n
Lead Mobile Network Planning \u2013 Oversee RF, Core, and Transmission planning to ensure MTN Zambia remains a technology leader.
\nMonitor Network Performance \u2013 Track KPIs and ensure network quality through regular audits and benchmarking.
\nDrive Network Evolution Strategy \u2013 Develop long-term plans for network upgrades and technology adoption (2G\/3G\/LTE).
\nManage Regulatory Compliance \u2013 Ensure all network planning activities align with government and regulatory requirements.
\nOversee Core Network Dimensioning \u2013 Forecast and evaluate core network nodes (MSC, MGW, SGSN, GGSN) for capacity and performance.
\nPlan IP Transmission Routes \u2013 Design resilient and efficient IP\/MPLS transmission paths with load sharing and QoS considerations.
\nImplement Quality Assurance Tools \u2013 Evaluate and deploy planning and optimization tools such as ASSET and drive test systems.
\nCollaborate Across Departments \u2013 Interface with Operations, Finance,
\nMarketing, and Business Intelligence teams to align on strategic goals.
\nManage High-Tech Projects \u2013 Lead CAPEX\/OPEX planning and execution of major network projects.
\nMentor and Lead Teams \u2013 Manage and develop a team of planners across RF, Transmission, and Core domains.<\/p>\n
Candidate Requirements<\/p>\n
Grade 12 certificate with 5 credit or better of which English and
\nMathematics are a must
\nB.Sc. Electrical\/Electronic or Telecommunications Engineering or equivalent or related field.
\nFive (5) years\u2019 experience in Network planning with a mobile telecom operator or consultancy<\/p>\n
