\nINFORMATION TECHNOLOGY OFFICER
\nZambia Sugar Plc, a proud member of the ABF Group and the leading sugar producer in Zambia, is seeking a suitably qualified, detail-driven, proactive, and solutions-oriented individual to join our Twazabuka Project as an Information Technology Officer on a fixed term contract. \nKEY RESPONSIBILITIES<\/p>\n
Technical Support: Provide timely, onsite IT support for hardware, software, and network-related issues. Diagnose and resolve IT problems to minimize downtime and ensure productivity.
\nInfrastructure Maintenance: Maintain and support the site\u2019s IT systems, including servers, workstations, and network connectivity. Ensure data security and compliance with company policies.
\nUser Training and Assistance: Offer basic IT support to team members to enhance their technical proficiency.
\nDevelop and maintain user guides and FAQs for common IT procedures.
\nCollaboration and Reporting: Coordinate with Zambia Sugar IT department to implement upgrades and updates.
\nMonitor and report on IT issues, usage patterns, and potential improvements.
\nTechnology Management: Manage inventory of IT equipment, ensuring the availability of spare parts and backups.
\nConfigure new devices and ensure smooth onboarding of team members and subcontractors.<\/p>\n
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE<\/p>\n
Full Grade Twelve (12) certificate.
\nBachelor\u2019s degree or diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
\nPreferably 4+ years of experience in IT support, and preferably in a field or remote environment.
\nProficiency in hardware troubleshooting, networking, and software support.
\nStrong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently.
\nExcellent communication and interpersonal skills to support a diverse team.
\nFlexibility to adapt to the challenges of working in a rural and project-based environment.<\/p>\n
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS<\/p>\n
Valid driver\u2019s license and willingness to travel as needed.
\nFamiliarity with satellite or alternative connectivity solutions is an advantage.
\nAvailability to work flexible hours and respond to emergencies.
\nSuitably qualified applicants must provide certificates verified by the Zambia Qualifications Authority (ZAQA).<\/p>\n
