\nAs a precision-driven Senior Auto Body Technician, who is passionate about advanced collision repairs, competence, teamwork, efficiency, and quality of service, you will conduct assessments, select materials and components and lead auto body repair works to restore vehicles to factory standards, and provide solutions to clients while upholding Kokeb\u2019s values of integrity, innovation, and excellence.
\nWhat You\u2019ll Do
\nCollision and Structural Repair
\nConduct assessments, measure, and repair structural damage.
\nStraighten frames and panels to manufacturer specifications.
\nRivet, bond, and weld on steel, aluminium, and other materials.
\nReplace, panels, doors, bumpers, and chassis components.
\nSurface Preparation and Refinishing Support
\nLead sanding, filler application, and priming.
\nEnsure surfaces are smooth, aligned, and ready for painting.
\nCollaborate with paint technicians to achieve quality finishes through application of such techniques as masking and detailing.
\nPanel Beating and Cosmetic Repairs
\nPerform high quality dent removal and address gaps and seals for such components as doors and fenders to enhance appearance.
\nRepair and restore minor exterior damages.
\nEstimating and Damage Assessment
\nVisually inspect vehicles for purposes of damage assessment and establishing extent of required works.
\nLiaise with insurers to arrive at accurate scope of works and parts requirements.
\nRecommend repair and or replacement decisions with clarity on cost, efficiency, and safety for clients\u2019 consideration.
\nPerformance Management
\nMentor and train junior technicians and apprentices.
\nAssign daily tasks to auto body repair team members and support execution.
\nComplete repairs in time and ensure adherence to internal and external quality standards.
\nQuality Control and Compliance Management
\nPerform final checks on completed repair works before vehicle release.
\nMaintain vehicle repair logs and before-after images for purposes of continuous improvement.
\nPerform according to health, safety, and environmental expectations.
\nWho You Are
\nQualifications: Craft or Advanced Certificate in Auto Body Repair or Panel Beating (Diploma is a plus).
\nExperience: 4 years in a busy state-of-the-art workshop (handling advanced collision repairs).
\nSelf\u2011Starter: Proactive, curious, precision-driven, and ready to challenge norms.
\nTech Savvy: Proficient with auto body equipment, tools, and technology; eager to learn new tools.
\nExcellent Communicator: Ability to interact with customers and other staff; team-oriented.
\nCustomer\u2011Centric: Understands the importance of client relationships and reliable delivery.
\nCertification (e.g., EIZ) is an advantage.
