\nReports To:\u00a0Head of Risk and Compliance
\nEmployment Type:\u00a0Full-Time Duties and Responsibilities<\/p>\n
Design, implement, and maintain a comprehensive risk management framework, policies, and procedures aligned with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
\nIdentify, assess, and prioritize risks across operational, financial, credit, market, liquidity, and compliance areas.
\nDevelop risk mitigation strategies and action plans to minimize potential losses and ensure business continuity.
\nMonitor and analyse risk exposure across the organization, ensuring timely identification of emerging risks.
\nPrepare and present detailed risk reports.
\nOversee the credit risk assessment process, including the evaluation of loan portfolios and credit policies.
\nImplement credit risk mitigation strategies to minimize defaults and non-performing loans (NPLs).
\nCollaborate with the credit team to ensure adherence to credit risk management guidelines
\nIdentify and assess operational risks, including fraud, IT security, and process inefficiencies.
\nDevelop and implement controls to mitigate operational risks and enhance internal processes.
\nConduct regular risk assessments and audits to ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
\nProvide strategic risk advice to the CEO and Board of Directors to support decision-making and business planning.
\nConduct scenario analysis and stress testing to evaluate the impact of potential risks on the organization.
\nCollaborate with other departments, including finance, operations, and compliance, to ensure a cohesive approach to risk management.<\/p>\n
Qualifications and Experience:\u00a0<\/p>\n
Bachelor\u2019s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Risk Management, or a professional qualification in a related fiend
\nMinimum of 2-3 years of experience in risk management, preferably within the financial services or microfinance sector.
\nStrong knowledge of regulatory requirements for microfinance institutions in Zambia, particularly those set by the Bank of Zambia.<\/p>\n
