A degree is an added advantage.<br \/>\n\u2013 Experience: Proven experience (typically 2+ years) in maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing a wide range of heavy-duty equipment, including but not limited to mining machinery (loaders, drill rigs, dump trucks), construction equipment (excavators, bulldozers), and commercial vehicles.<br \/>\n\u2013 Technical Expertise:<br \/>\n\u2013 In-depth knowledge of heavy equipment systems, including mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and pneumatic components.<br \/>\n\u2013 Proficiency in diagnosing faults and assessing requirements for spares and tools<br \/>\n\u2013 Ability to perform routine maintenance, cleaning, lubricating, and servicing of heavy-duty vehicles and machinery<br \/>\n\u2013 Experience with diagnostic software and specialized tools.<br \/>\n\u2013 Strong understanding of safety procedures and regulations related to heavy equipment repair.<br \/>\n\u2013 Physical Requirements: Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting, bending, and working in various environmental conditions prevalent in Zambia.<br \/>\n\u2013 Licenses &amp; Certifications:<br \/>\n\u2013 Valid Zambian driver\u2019s license.<br \/>\n\u2013 Relevant trade certifications are highly desirable. (EIZ membership)<br \/>\n\u2013 Key Attributes:<br \/>\n\u2013 Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.<br \/>\n\u2013 Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.<br \/>\n\u2013 Ability to work independently and as part of a team.<br \/>\n\u2013 Effective communication skills in English (both written and verbal).<br \/>\n\u2013 A proactive and safety-conscious approach to work.<br \/>\nBrief Job Description:<br \/>\nThe Heavy Equipment Repair (HER) Technician will be responsible for the comprehensive maintenance, inspection, and repair of various heavy equipment and machinery used in our operations across Zambia.<br \/>\nKey responsibilities include:<br \/>\n\u2013 Performing daily checks and routine maintenance on equipment<br \/>\n\u2013 Diagnosing and troubleshooting complex mechanical and electrical faults<br \/>\n\u2013 Repairing damaged equipment parts and replacing defective components<br \/>\n\u2013 Ensuring all repair work adheres to manufacturer specifications and company standards<br \/>\n\u2013 Maintaining accurate records of all maintenance and repair activities.<br \/>\n\u2013 Advising supervisors on spare parts and tool requirements to ensure timely availability<br \/>\n\u2013 Adhering to all health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures.<br \/>\nSharing is Caring!
