The Young Women\u2019s Christian Association of Zambia is a non-governmental, non-profitable Organization dedicated to the promotion of Human Rights for the empowerment of the community especially women and children for a better society.
\nYWCA\u2019s mission is to empower and protect women, youth and children through right\u2019s-based approaches and transformative leadership to attain a just society\u201d.

\nProject Background
\nThe primary focus of this project will be on adolescents including persons with disabilities (PWDs) focussing on interventions aimed at enhancing HIV prevention, communication, information and creating demand for Adolescent Girls and Young Women (AGYWs) in Chibombo and Chisamba districts of Central Province which are high incidence districts. This will in turn increase access to HIV prevention services that will lead to a reduction in HIV incidences amongst AGYW and PWDS in the selected districts.
\nIt is against this background, that Young Women\u2019s Christian Association (YWCA) is inviting applications from suitably qualified candidates to fill in the position of Monitoring and Evaluation Officer to be stationed in Kabwe.
\nRoles and Responsibilities:<\/p>\n
Leads the design and implementation of the CHAZ project monitoring and evaluation activities including the development of the project\u2019s performance monitoring plan, indicator development and tracking as well as data collection tools.
\nEnsures that the electronic data management system of the project is functional and that data is cleaned, entered and analyzed in a timely manner and accurate manner.
\nProvide technical assistance and leadership to implement, and assess and strengthen M&E systems and tools, to achieve programmatic goals.
\nEnsure that appropriate M&E mechanisms are incorporated into work plans and reports.
\nConduct capacity building activities for project staff at national and district level to support the collection, analysis, presentation, and utilization of high-quality data for improved programming.
\nDevelop and oversee implementation of the data quality assurance systems.
\nMonitor program performance based on the performance monitoring and evaluation plan, annual work plans, and monitoring plan.
\nProvides technical, data cleaning and provide guidance to district staff.
\nLeads the implementation of project assessments and evaluations.
\nConducts regular site visits aimed to provide strategic guidance and mentoring to field staff on various aspects of program implementation.
\nPerform any other work-related duties as assigned by the supervisor.<\/p>\n
Desired Qualifications:<\/p>\n
Degree in Demographics, Development studies or other social sciences, a degree in Gender Studies will be desirable
\nPractical experience in Gender, human rights and development contexts
\nAt least three (3) years of experience working in a related field
\nExperience in working with CSOs\/NGOs
\nFluency in written and spoken English
\nExperience working for an international non-government organization is an advantage
\nAbility to work collaboratively as part of a team
\nA strong candidate able to meet planned objectives and targets
\nAn added advantage if knowledge of Statistical packages such as \u2013 SPSS, R, Stata, Kobo Toolbox and Python.<\/p>\n
