PURPOSE
\nThis exciting opportunity exists to implement and maintain the Fraser Alexander SHEQ management systems to effectively manage Safety, Health, Environmental, and Quality-related risks within the area of responsibility.
\nRESPONSIBILITIES
\nPolicy, Targets, Objectives, and Goals
\nEnsure that the current SHE policies are displayed in all operational areas.
\nComply with the objectives, goals, and targets set by the company and the client.
\nAssist the Business Unit manager in establishing annual SHEQ targets and objectives for each business unit.
\nEnsure that all employees are made aware of policies, targets, objectives, and goals.
\n\u00a0
\nLegal Aspects \/ Requirements
\nEnsure company practices comply with legal and other requirements within the risk management domain.
\nProvide ongoing reports on legislative and other amendments relevant to the risk domain and ensure compliance as required.
\nEnsure the submission of all applicable statutory documents.
\nEnsure that all employees are made aware of the latest legislative requirements.
\nEnsure that the necessary legal and other appointments are made and maintained within the area of responsibility.
\nAdvise management\/appointees of their roles, responsibilities, and duties in terms of risk management.
\nEstablish a working relationship with regulatory bodies (ZEMA, MSD, etc.).
\n\u00a0
\nRisk Assessment
\nEnsure that the necessary risk assessments and action plans are compiled, maintained, and reviewed where needed.
\nAssist and advise operational staff in meeting the requirements of the risk management process.
\nConduct risk awareness sessions in each audit area.
\nAdvise management on the risk status of the Business Unit.
\n\u00a0
\n\u00a0
\nIncident and Accident Investigations
\nEnsure incidents are reported, investigated, and recorded on SHEQX in compliance with Fraser Alexander\u2019s Incident Management Procedure and client procedures.
\nEnsure corrective actions are implemented and lessons learned are shared across the division.
\n\u00a0
\nAudits and Inspections
\nPerform inspections on the physical conditions of the TSF.
\nRegularly perform risk audits according to company and client requirements.
\n\u00a0
\nSHEQ Training
\nParticipate in the company\u2019s training initiatives to improve employees\u2019 understanding of the risk management systems.
\nAssist in managing training interventions to ensure all employees acquire the necessary skills to competently perform their roles with minimal risk.
\nQUALIFICATIONS
\nGrade Twelve (12) School Certificate
\nDiploma\/Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety\/ COMSOC 1 & 2 (or country-specific equivalent)
\nISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ICAM Training
\nSHEQ management systems

\nEXPERIENCE
\nThree years\u2019 experience in mining\/construction\/tailings environment.
\n\u00a0
\nSKILLS, QUALITIES AND ABILITIES REQUIRED
\nMedically fit as per company standards.
\nStrong knowledge and understanding of the legislation, standards, and bylaws applicable to SHEQ in the country of operation, along with related internal policies and procedures.
\nStrategic planning, organisation, leadership, and control.
\nEffective communication skills (both written and verbal).
