\nManica University is a privately owned institution registered with the Ministry of Higher Education under the Higher Education Authority Act No. 4 of 2013, dedicated to training professionals in Zambia\u2019s health sector and beyond. The University is regulated by the Health Professions Council of Zambia (HPCZ), the General Nursing Council of Zambia (GNC).
\nJob Purpose
\nTo oversee the Human Resource functions and ensure effective provision of support services.
\nMain Duties
\nPlanning and Policy: Oversees the Development and implementation of HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy.
\nIndustrial Relations: Responsible for bridging management and employee relations by addressing demands, grievances or other issues.
\nStaff Development: Oversees the administration and organization of all Human Capital activities such as Training and Development, Wellness Programs
\nRecruitment: Manage the recruitment process through to induction training activities.
\nLegal Compliance: Ensure legal compliance with Labour Laws and any other legislature relevant to the running of the University.
\nReports: Prepares and submits monthly management reports to the CEO for
\ninformation.
\nCollect appraisal Reports and collate them for Management
\nMinimum Qualifications and Experience
\nMinimum Qualifications:
\nMasters in Human Resource Management\/ Public Administration\/ Business Administration.
\nHave at least 4 years of senior management experience.
\nBe a fully paid-up member of good standing of ZIHRM
\nSkills\/Attributes<\/p>\n
In-depth knowledge of Zambian labour laws
\nInterpersonal and communication skills
\nExcellent communication skills, highly confidential and well organized
\nHigh level of Integrity<\/p>\n
