\nLambi &\u202fCo Advocates is a top-tier law firm in Zambia with a robust track record in high-stakes litigation and complex corporate transactions. We are seeking an experienced Associate Advocate to strengthen our Litigation and Corporate Conveyancing team.
\nRole Overview
\nThe successful candidate will split time between:
\n1. Trial & Appellate Practice<\/p>\n
Lead litigation files from initial pleadings through appellate proceedings
\nConduct legal research, draft submissions, and appear in High Court and Court of Appeal
\nFormulate case strategies, negotiate settlements, and represent clients in court
\nMaintain detailed records of court appearances and outcomes<\/p>\n
2. Corporate & Conveyancing<\/p>\n
Manage corporate and conveyancing portfolios, including due diligence and land transactions
\nDraft, review, and negotiate contracts, sale agreements, M&A documentation
\nAdvise clients on regulatory compliance, mergers & acquisitions, and contractual obligations
\nCollaborate closely with real estate agents, title offices, and financial institutions<\/p>\n
Experience & Qualifications
\nLitigation Track<\/p>\n
LLB degree from a recognized university
\nAt least 3 years\u2019 experience in litigation (trial and appellate levels)
\nTraceable history of court appearances at High Court and\/or Court of Appeal
\nValid Practicing Certificate and registration with the Law Association of Zambia
\nExcellent grasp of civil and criminal procedure and strong advocacy skills<\/p>\n
Corporate & Conveyancing Track<\/p>\n
LLB degree (same as above)
\nMinimum of 3 years\u2019 experience in corporate law and conveyancing
\nValid Practicing Certificate and registration with LAZ
\nStrong knowledge in conveyancing, M&A, contract drafting & review
\nProven ability in managing corporate deals and property transactions<\/p>\n
Experience in both Trial & Appellate Practice and Corporate & Conveyancing will be an added advantage.
