Mineral Link Ltd has a great opportunity for a high-performing WH \/ Safety and Training professional looking to join the business and can make a difference. Reporting to the Directors\/Manger \u2013 the core mission of this role will be to ensure compliance with Work Safety and Training responsibilities for our team. We are not looking for a \u2018box ticker\u2019, we are looking for a team player who understands the importance of safety whilst \u2018getting the job done\u2019. The successful candidate will be a natural communicator and someone who builds relationships quickly without compromising on what\u2019s required for their role.
\nKEY RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ROLE:<\/p>\n
Training and mentoring team members in safe work methods and advise our management team on all safety, medic, and environmental matters
\nWorking with and continuing to develop and maintain our workshop and site safety management systems
\nProviding advice on measures needed to minimise hazards or unsafe situations
\nEnsuring standard risk management approaches are well implemented
\nProviding advice on WHS matters and issues which may arise and conducting internal assurance audits
\nConducting formal\u00a0Alcohol and Drug\u00a0testing in workshop and on site and administrating fitness for work processes
\nWorkplace inspections and also assisting in the preparation\u00a0JHA\u2019s and RISK\u00a0assessments
\nAdministration and filing of all safety related documentation in workshop and on site
\nAssisting in worker rehabilitation management, facilitate hygiene monitoring and interpret reports
\nGenerate safety reports, and correlate all safety performance statistics
\nSimply spending time in the workshop completing safety observations and coaching conversations and activities
\nResponding to incidents and emergencies as necessary<\/p>\n
To be considered for the role, you will possess but not limited to the following Skills and experience:<\/p>\n
Diploma or Degree in Occupational Health and Safety or Related Field
\nFirst aid certificate
\nInternal auditor skills
\n5 years minimum experience in the same or similar role
\nIdeally (although not essential) Certificate in workplace Training and Assessment
\nDemonstrated knowledge and understanding of the Work Health and Safety Act, Work Health and Safety (Mines) Regulations act and associated regulatory advisory material.
\nWell-developed report writing and analytical, interpersonal, negotiation, facilitation and presentation skills
\nExcellent organisational & communication skills with the ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team.<\/p>\n
