Living Water provides\u00a0safe drinking water, Christian Witness, Sanitation and Hygiene Education to communities across Africa, Asia, Latin America & Caribbean.
\nLiving Water International Zambia, Chipata WASH Program Area (WPA) operates in three districts of Chipata, Kasenengwa and Chipangali.
\nA vacancy exists at Chipata WPA in Eastern Province for a Logistics Officer.
\nPosition Purpose
\nCoordination and supervision of drivers; Plan scheduled motor vehicle maintenance, service and repairs. Ensure that all drivers and staff authorized to drive LWI vehicles are licensed and qualified. Maintain an up-to-date vehicle inventory and prepare monthly vehicle usage reports, including repair and maintenance, fuel and inventory status reports.
\nRoles and responsibilities
\n\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Facilitate the Registration of Motor Vehicles, renewal of Road Licenses and Fitness.<\/p>\n
Maintain the Vehicle Database for monitoring purposes for the WPA.
\nProduce monthly summary of vehicle usage reports (All Vehicles).
\nScheduling & Routing of vehicles & drivers to ensure that members of staff needing transport are facilitated to carry out their various assignments.
\nManage airport assignments for LWI staff and high-profile visitors visiting the WPA.
\nFacilitate healthy functioning and timely service of all vehicles including rented ones, if any, ensuring that all repairs carried out meet the required standards to minimize accidents and breakdowns
\nEnsure that comprehensive Insurance for all Motor vehicles\/bikes is done, and insurance claims are effected immediately after the accident has occurred.
\nBe flexible and available to provide assistance in case of accidents or breakdowns and to effect emergency repairs by ensuring that there is adequate security for LWI vehicles and assisting with police enquiries when necessary and providing emergency transportation if needed.
\nEnsure that appropriate procedures and control on the issuance of fuel are made and followed
\nEnsure vehicle logbooks are available, maintained and always updated
\nPrepare comparative analysis reports to ensure that fuel drawn on all Vehicles is put to the intended purpose
\nWork in liaison with procurement in ensuring that costs related to maintenance and servicing of vehicles are processed in good time.
\nAssist in ensuring that the necessary measures are in place to ensure security and safety for high profile visitors and that security standards and procedures are strictly adhered to.
\nAny other duties as maybe assigned by supervisor.<\/p>\n
Education\/Experience<\/p>\n
Diploma in Transport & Logistics or related field.
\nAt least 2 years\u2019 fleet management experience, and an un-restricted valid driver\u2019s license \u00a0a must (Class C or above).
\nAutomotive Technician Certificate, a must.
\nExperience in the non-profit sector and in fuel analysis.<\/p>\n

\nGood Communication and interpersonal skills, essential.
\nHigh professional ethics and proficiency.
\nFluency in English both written and spoken
