Our client is committed to connecting Africa by making high-speed internet accessible to individuals, businesses, and communities through innovative solutions, affordable Starlink kits, reliable installation services, and strong local presence via flagship stores.<br \/>\nJob Purpose<br \/>\nTo lead and manage the overall operations of the business unit, ensuring the achievement of sales, profitability, and operational efficiency targets through effective team leadership, resource management, stakeholder engagement, and the development of robust lead generation strategies.<br \/>\nKey Responsibilities<\/p>\n<p>Strategic Lead Generation &amp; Sales Growth:<br \/>\nDevelop, implement, and oversee comprehensive lead generation strategies for the business unit, including marketing campaigns, partnerships, and community outreach initiatives.<br \/>\nAnalyse lead sources and conversion rates to continuously optimize lead generation efforts.<br \/>\nCollaborate with the Sales Team to set lead generation targets and ensure a consistent pipeline of qualified prospects.<br \/>\nIdentify and pursue new market segments or channels for lead acquisition.<br \/>\nMonitor the effectiveness of various lead generation activities and adjust strategies as needed.<br \/>\nStrategic Planning &amp; Performance Management:<br \/>\nDevelop and implement strategic plans to achieve and exceed monthly and annual sales targets.<br \/>\nSet individual and team KPIs for sales and technical staff, monitor performance closely, and provide regular feedback and coaching.<br \/>\nAnalyse sales and installation data to identify trends, areas for improvement, and opportunities for growth.<br \/>\nConduct regular performance reviews and implement development plans for team members.<br \/>\nFinancial Management &amp; Profitability:<br \/>\nOversee all financial aspects of the business unit, including revenue generation, cost control, and budget management.<br \/>\nAnalyse profit and loss (P&amp;L) statements to identify areas of inefficiency and implement corrective actions.<br \/>\nApprove expenditures and manage operational costs to maximize profitability.<br \/>\nPrepare and present financial reports to senior management.<br \/>\nInventory &amp; Asset Management:<br \/>\nEnsure accurate tracking and management of all inventories (products, kits, spare parts) to prevent stockouts or overstocking.<br \/>\nImplement robust inventory control procedures, conduct regular stock counts, and reconcile physical stock with system records.<br \/>\nManage asset allocation and maintenance for operational efficiency.<br \/>\nStakeholder &amp; Relationship Management:<br \/>\nAct as the primary liaison between the business unit and external stakeholders, including accountants, lawyers, suppliers, and regulatory bodies.<br \/>\nEnsure compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements.<br \/>\nBuild and maintain strong, productive relationships with all key stakeholders to support business operations and growth.<br \/>\nOperational Excellence:<br \/>\nOptimize operational processes to enhance efficiency and customer satisfaction.<br \/>\nEnsure a safe and productive working environment for all staff.<br \/>\nAddress customer complaints and escalations effectively and professionally.<\/p>\n<p>Qualifications Summary<br \/>\n1.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Educational Background: Bachelor\u2019s degree in Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering or any related field, with a master\u2019s degree in Business Management considered as an added advantage.<br \/>\n2.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Telecom Industry Expertise: 5+ work experience in managerial roles within the telecommunications sector.<br \/>\n3.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Sales &amp; Growth Leadership: Proven ability to drive lead generation, sales growth, and market expansion.<br \/>\n4.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Financial Acumen: Solid foundation in accounting and financial management with practical experience in budget management, operational cost control, and financial reporting.<br \/>\n5.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Operational Excellence: Skilled in overseeing day-to-day business operations, inventory control, and performance management to optimize efficiency and profitability.<br \/>\n6.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Stakeholder Engagement: Skilled in managing client, regulatory, and suppliers and Internal Stakeholders<br \/>\n7.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Integrity &amp; Professionalism: Known for a high level of integrity, accountability, and dedication to excellence in execution.<br \/>\n8.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Excellent Communication: Fluent in English, with strong written and verbal communication skills.<br \/>\nSharing is Caring!
