\nPOSITION OVERVIEW
\nThe JUNIOR SITE MANAGER will be overall overseer of the mining operations and personnel of mines, ensuring that all mining activities are conducted safely and efficiently.
\nDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES<\/p>\n
Work closely with mine staff on the site on an on going basis.
\nResponsible for performing the necessary planning and organizing to ensure that all the resources are available for smooth operations.
\nEnsure a safe work environment prevails.
\nLead a team of miners to help them achieve set goals
\nOversee operations and personnel of mines ensuring that all mine activities are conducted safely and efficiently
\nDevelop health and safety strategies\u2019
\nEnsure compliance with safety legislation
\nSchedule work and activities, give instructions, motivate and direct the workers to meet set objectives.
\nAny other tasks as directed by the Site Manager<\/p>\n
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE<\/p>\n
A minimum of a bachelor\u2019s degree in mining engineering.
\nA minimum of three years\u2019 experience preferably in a mining environment.<\/p>\n
TECHNICAL SKILLS<\/p>\n
Proficiency in any stock management software.
\nStrong knowledge of excel and data analysis.<\/p>\n
OTHER REQUIREMENTS \/SKILLS<\/p>\n
Valid driver\u2019s license
\nFlexibility to work long hours during busy periods.
