Our client, an NGO that works tirelessly across developing nations to strengthen education systems, ensuring access, equity, and excellence in learning for all is looking to hire a Procurement Officer to join their team. The Procurement Officer will ensure that he\/she finds suitable vendors\/suppliers following the organization\u2019s procurement process.
\nKey Tasks and Responsibilities<\/p>\n
Processing of procurement requests.
\nResponsible for preparation of framework agreement with vendors.
\nEstablish a relationship with preferred vendors\/suppliers.
\nResponsible for contract management of vendors\/suppliers (ensuring contracts and supporting documents are properly stored and accessible for reference when needed).
\nPrepare all the CFQs.
\nAct as the secretary of the procurement committee.
\nPrepare all the Pos.
\nReview of all the asset listings.
\nIn charge of the vendor listing and management.
\nSupport with training in logistics for new staff.<\/p>\n
Desired Skills, Qualifications and Experience:<\/p>\n
Must have a minimum of a bachelor\u2019s degree.
\nMust have experience in procurement\/purchasing for a minimum of 3 years.
\nMust be registered with Zambia Institute of Purchasing and Supply.
\nStrong negotiation skills and relationship building.
\nShould have an analytical mindset.
\nStrong organizational and time management abilities.
\nShould be an excellent team player.
\nMust be fluent in English.
\nExperience in a non-profit organization is a plus.<\/p>\n
