Our client, an NGO that works tirelessly across developing nations to strengthen education systems, ensuring access, equity, and excellence in learning for all is looking to hire a Finance Officer to join their team. The Finance Officer will ensure procedures are properly followed by the organization\u2019s staff and make the necessary preparations for the accountants and the operations manager.
\nKey Tasks and Responsibilities<\/p>\n
Update payment tracker tool when necessary and provide updates to staff and colleagues.
\nEnsure timely payment to vendors and partners by following processes and communicating with stakeholders.
\nPrepare payments in banking software for Management to action.
\nDocument checks and consolidation for Navision.
\nProvide information on the funds needed with the Operations Manager.
\nCredit cards expenditure and reconciliation.
\nManage disbursement of funds, ensuring proper documentation.
\nMonitor cash flow to ensure adequate funds are available for program activities.
\nProcessing and payment of per diems and retirements in a timely fashion.
\nTrack organizational assets and support asset audits.
\nManage petty cash and payment of office utilities with appropriate approvals.
\nProcess salaries and benefits for staff.
\nCalculate and file tax and social security contributions.
\nProvide support to the accounting team when necessary.
\nEnsure financial documentation for procurement is complete and compliant.
\nEnsure compliance with local labor and tax laws.
\nAlert management to any suspected irregularities or risks.<\/p>\n
Desired Skills, Qualifications and Experience:<\/p>\n
Must have a minimum certification of ACCA\/CIMA\/ZICA Part II.
\nMust be registered with the Zambia Institute of Chartered Accountants (ZICA).
\nMust have proven experience (3\u20135 years) in finance.
\nExcellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
\nStrong organizational and time management abilities.
\nAbility to work independently and as part of a team.
\nShould be fluent in English.
\nExperience in a non-profit organization is a plus.<\/p>\n
