A well-established Zambian logistics company is seeking a highly experienced and results-oriented General Manager to lead its Clearing & Forwarding Division. The ideal candidate must have deep expertise in customs processes, regulatory compliance, and logistics strategy, with a strong track record of team leadership and business growth.
\nKey Responsibilities:<\/p>\n
Provide strategic leadership and direction for all clearing and forwarding operations.
\nOversee import, export, and transit cargo processes across multiple borders.
\nEnsure full compliance with ZRA, ASYCUDA, and other statutory regulations.
\nBuild and maintain strong working relationships with customs authorities, regulatory bodies, and key clients.
\nDevelop and implement marketing strategies to grow the division\u2019s client base.
\nNegotiate service agreements and commercial contracts with clients and partners.
\nDrive continuous improvement in service delivery, turnaround times, and cost efficiency.
\nMonitor and report on divisional performance, profitability, and customer satisfaction.<\/p>\n
Requirements:<\/p>\n
Bachelor\u2019s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
\nMinimum of 5 years\u2019 experience in clearing and forwarding, with at least 2 years in a senior or leadership role.
\nStrong understanding of Zambian customs laws, ASYCUDA World, and related ZRA procedures.
\nDemonstrated ability to grow business through client acquisition and retention.
\nExcellent leadership, negotiation, marketing, and problem-solving skills.
\nStrong business acumen with a passion for operational excellence and growth.<\/p>\n
