The position will foster team unity and motivation while working towards business retention, new business development and client satisfaction through effective and regular client liaison, contract KPI adherence and incident investigations management. The area manager\u2019s focus is on driving service quality in their area. This role requires strong leadership, problem-solving skills, and the ability to effectively manage a team of security personnel. The Area Manager plays a critical role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality security services, maintaining client satisfaction, and driving operational excellence.<br \/>\nKey Responsibilities:\u00a0<br \/>\n1.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Operational Management:<br \/>\nOversee the day-to-day operations within the designated area, ensuring adherence to company policies, procedures, and industry standards.<br \/>\nMonitor the performance of security personnel, ensuring customer service excellence and taking corrective actions as needed.<br \/>\nManage area operations ensuring that field operations are carried out professionally and in accordance with the policy to uphold standards that will ensure acceptable service level above the contractual obligations.<br \/>\n2.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Team Leadership:<br \/>\nProvide leadership and guidance to the area operations team primarily with the Area Coordinator and Branch Administrator supervisors and officers fostering a positive work environment and promoting professional development.<br \/>\nSet clear expectations, conduct regular performance evaluations, and provide coaching and mentoring when necessary.<br \/>\n3.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Client Relationship Management:<br \/>\nEstablish and maintain strong relationships with clients acting as the main point of contact for operational matters.<br \/>\nConduct regular meetings to understand their security needs, address concerns, and ensure client satisfaction.<br \/>\nCollaborate with the sales team to identify opportunities for upselling or expanding services.<br \/>\nComplete the Client Visit Form daily as per the country Head of Security Operations KPIs; track corrective actions to conclusion with regular feedback to the client, Head of Guarding, supervisors, and site security officers.<br \/>\n4.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Training and Development:<br \/>\nCoordinate and facilitate training programs for security personnel ensuring that they possess the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.<br \/>\nStay updated on industry trends and best practices, implementing continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.<br \/>\nWhere required, deliver appropriate courses in support of the training department.<br \/>\n5.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Resource Management and Planning:<br \/>\nOptimize resource allocation including personnel, equipment, and technology to meet operational demands.<br \/>\nCollaborate with the logistics department to ensure timely deployment of security personnel and necessary equipment to client sites.<br \/>\nDeploy security officers who meet the requisite criteria and properly select in concert with the Area Coordinator appropriate security personnel for the assignment.<br \/>\nOversee, guide, and plan daily and for all weekend activities all deployments in their area of operation.<br \/>\n6.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Quality Assurance:<br \/>\nDevelop and implement company dictated quality assurance measures to assess the performance of security personnel and adherence to company standards.<br \/>\nConduct regular site inspections, audits, and incident reviews to identify areas for improvement and ensure compliance with contractual obligations and regulatory requirements.<br \/>\nConduct Security surveys, audits, and risk assessments of clients\u2019 premises as required in the policy document to close the gaps that might expose the company to liabilities and the client negatively.<br \/>\n7.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Cost Management:<br \/>\nAssist in developing and managing the area\u2019s operational budget.<br \/>\nMonitor expenses, control costs, and identify opportunities for cost-saving measures without compromising service quality.<br \/>\nFocus on labour management and workforce utilization using the company rostering system.<br \/>\nEnsure the area remains optimally manned with adequate standbys and effectively police the non-deployed personnel.<br \/>\nManage the allocated resources ensuring that there is optimum usage of all the company resources and avoid unnecessary costs.<br \/>\n8.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Emergency Response and Crisis Management:<br \/>\nCollaborate with the emergency response team and local authorities to develop and implement emergency response plans.<br \/>\nEnsure that security personnel are trained and prepared to handle various emergency situations effectively.<br \/>\nTake direction from GW management in the event of any incident as per the GW Business Continuity Plan.<br \/>\n9.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Administrative Activities:<br \/>\nPlan, coordinate, and monitor administrative activities for the Operations department through effective management and supervision of the branch uniformed staffs and associated support functions such as MRTs, K9, and technical units under his\/her area of jurisdiction.<br \/>\nLead in incident investigations and update the relevant teams on the progress as necessary.<br \/>\nInstil an acceptable level of discipline among operations staff to meet company standards.<br \/>\nHandle all branch disciplinary cases in consultation with HR and ensure timely resolution.<br \/>\nMonitor and enhance the provision of quality security services to subscribing clients (Manned Guarding, security Dogs, alarm response, CCTV and equipment sales, access control, vehicle tracking system, etc.).<br \/>\nMonitor communication from the field on security-related incidents, providing feedback and maintaining data for analysis to identify trends.<br \/>\nDevelop and submit branch management and operations performance reports in a timely manner.<br \/>\nAdhere to and meet all company set management and standards KPIs.<br \/>\nQualifications &amp; Experience<br \/>\n1.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Educational Background:<br \/>\nBachelor\u2019s degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience; additional certifications in security management or related fields are a plus.<br \/>\n2.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Professional Experience:<br \/>\nMinimum five (5) years operational experience as an Area Coordinator, Senior Controller, Project Manager, or other relevant operations experience within a security organization.<br \/>\nProven experience in security operations management or a similar role.<br \/>\nStrong leadership and team management skills.<br \/>\nExcellent communication and interpersonal skills.<br \/>\nSound knowledge of security industry regulations, procedures, and best practices.<br \/>\nAbility to analyze data, identify trends, and make informed decisions.<br \/>\nProficient in using technology such as security management systems and incident reporting software.<br \/>\nDemonstrated problem-solving and decision-making abilities.<br \/>\nFamiliarity with budget management and financial principles.<br \/>\n3.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Technical Skills and Knowledge:<br \/>\nProfessional certification in security management and GW management Training Course.<br \/>\nComputer literate and training in VHF Radio operation and Voice Procedure.<br \/>\nConversant with the country Labour Laws and by extension the constitution that govern other areas of the business.<br \/>\nSharing is Caring!
