Simba Oil Company Limited is seeking to employ a qualified and experienced individual to fill the position of\u00a0Finance Manager\u00a0to be based in Lusaka.
\nKey Duties and Essential Job Functions<\/p>\n
Develop and execute the financial strategy and aligning it with the overall business objectives.
\nProvide financial insights and recommendations to senior management for strategic decision-making.
\nOversee the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements, reports, and presentations for.
\nPrepare and monitor long-term financial plans and budgets
\nConduct financial analysis, including variance analysis and key performance indicators (KPIs), to assess the financial health and performance.
\nIdentify trends, risks, and opportunities and provide recommendations for improvement.
\nMonitor and manage the cash flow, ensuring sufficient liquidity for day-to-day operations and capital investments.
\nPrepare and review cash flow forecasts and budgets.
\nImplement effective cash management strategies to optimize cash flow and minimize financial risks.
\nDevelop and implement robust internal control systems and procedures to ensure compliance with financial regulations, accounting standards, and company policies.
\nIdentify and mitigate financial risks across the company.
\nCoordinate with internal and external auditors to ensure timely completion of audits and address any audit findings.
\nManage the treasury function, including cash management, working capital, and foreign exchange exposure.
\nOversee banking relationships and negotiate favourable terms for financing, investments, and other financial services.
\nMonitor and optimize the capital structure and funding arrangements.
\nProvide leadership and guidance to the finance team, ensuring efficient and effective operations.
\nDevelop and mentor finance staff, fostering a high-performance culture.
\nConduct performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to enhance individual and team performance.
\nCollaborate with internal stakeholders, including senior management, business unit heads, and board of directors, to provide financial insights and support decision-making.
\nBuild and maintain relationships with external stakeholders, such as banks, auditors, and regulatory authorities.<\/p>\n
Minimum requirements<\/p>\n
Bachelor of Accounting Degree plus CA\/ACCA\/CIMA or equivalent
\nAt least five years\u2019 experience, with two years in a management rol
\nGood analytical skills and should be able to work under minimum supervision
\nComputer literacy i.e., Excel, Word & Power point
\nWorking knowledge and experience in Tally an added advantage
\nMust be honest reliable and able to work under pressure
\nExcellent communication and interpersonal skills
\nA strong attention to detail.<\/p>\n
