ACCOUNTANT<br \/>\nJob Type: Contract<br \/>\nSalary: Competitive<br \/>\nLocation: Chimwemwe, Kitwe<br \/>\nJOB PURPOSE<br \/>\nTo ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, effective management of funds, compliance with Zambian financial regulations, and support in decision-making by providing reliable financial information.<br \/>\nKEY RESPONSIBILITIES<br \/>\nPrepare, examine, and analyze accounting records, financial statements, and other financial reports.<br \/>\nEnsure compliance with Zambian tax laws, ZRA requirements, and other statutory obligations (e.g. NAPSA, PAYE).<br \/>\nProcess payments, manage petty cash, and monitor cash flow.<br \/>\nPrepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.<br \/>\nMaintain proper records of assets, liabilities, and other financial transactions.<br \/>\nSupport in budget preparation and monitoring expenditures.<br \/>\nReconcile bank statements and ensure accuracy of transactions.<br \/>\nManage payroll processing and ensure timely payment of staff salaries.<br \/>\nAssist with internal and external audits.<br \/>\nEnsure adherence to accounting standards and internal financial policies.<br \/>\nQUALIFICATIONS &amp; SKILLS<br \/>\nDegree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.<br \/>\nProfessional qualification such as ZICA and ACCA is an added advantage.<br \/>\nA minimum of 2\u20133 years of work experience is required, and prior experience in a healthcare setting will be an added advantage.<br \/>\nMust to a full registered member of ZICA.<br \/>\nQualifications must be verified and validated by ZAQA.<br \/>\nKnowledge of Zambian tax laws and statutory requirements.<br \/>\nProficiency in accounting software (e.g. Sage, Pastel, QuickBooks).<br \/>\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills.<br \/>\nHigh level of integrity, accuracy, and attention to detail.<br \/>\nGood communication and interpersonal skills.<br \/>\nKEY COMPETENCIES<br \/>\nFinancial management and reporting<br \/>\nTax and statutory compliance<br \/>\nBudgeting and cost control<br \/>\nRecord-keeping and data management<br \/>\nTime management and organizational skills<br \/>\nSharing is Caring!
