\nTyre-King, a leading automobile tyre retailer, is looking for a results-driven and analytical Senior Credit Officer to lead our credit control and debt management efforts while ensuring sound financial reporting and compliance
\nPosition:\u00a0Senior Credit Officer \u2013 Full Time
\nPurpose of the Job:
\nTo manage and oversee the company\u2019s credit control function, including Collections, Credit Risk Management and Strategic Debt Control efforts. The role ensures timely receivables, minimized bad debt exposure and continuous improvement of credit governance and reporting structure.
\nKey Responsibilities:<\/p>\n
Develop and implement the company\u2019s overall credit control strategy ensuring alignment with cash flow and revenue projections.
\nAssess creditworthiness of new and existing clients through detailed financial analysis and risk evaluation.
\nApprove or recommend credit limits and terms based on policy and risk profile.
\nSupervise and support the credit team in reviewing applications and managing client accounts.
\nProvide leadership and strategic direction to the credit control team to ensure timely collections and minimize bad debt.
\nMaintain a professional and courteous approach when dealing with customers in all credit-related communications
\nDevelop and implement effective credit control policies, training manuals and procedures for credit operations
\nMonitor accounts for payment delinquencies and coordinate collection strategies.
\nSet monthly collection targets for credit team and monitor branch level performance
\nEffectively manage the credit risk portfolio by leading annual review and stress testing
\nConduct regular performance reviews and training sessions for credit control staff.
\nPerform monthly analysis on of Days Sales Outstanding DOS, Customer payment Trends and segment specific risks
\nChair monthly credit control meetings with Finance and operation stakeholders
\nPrepare and present monthly credit reports, risk assessments, and recommendations to senior management.
\nEnsure compliance with company credit policies and relevant regulatory requirements.
\nMaintain updated knowledge of market trends and economic factors affecting credit risk.<\/p>\n
Qualifications & Experience:<\/p>\n
ACCA, CIMA, ZICA, or equivalent accounting qualification.
\nMinimum 5 years\u2019 experience in credit control or receivables management, preferably in a commercial environment with at least 2 years in a senior role.
\nProven experience in credit control leadership with a track record of improving collection cycles and implementing credit policy framework
\nProficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (Navision experience is an added advantage).
\nExcellent negotiation, decision making, communication, and analytical skills.
\nAbility to work well in a team
\nA problem-solver with attention to detail skills<\/p>\n
