We pride ourselves on offering quality food and excellent service in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere.<br \/>\nJob summary:<br \/>\nDonoli\u2019s Kitchen is seeking a talented and passionate Chef to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong culinary background, a creative approach to cooking, an open mind to learning and the ability to prepare both authentic traditional Zambian food and popular Western dishes. You will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality meals that delight our diverse clientele.<br \/>\nResponsibilities:<br \/>\n* Food Preparation:<br \/>\n* Prepare and cook a variety of traditional Zambian food and Western dishes according to established recipes and standards.<br \/>\n* Ensure consistent food quality, taste, and presentation.<br \/>\n* Prepare ingredients, including chopping, seasoning, and marinating.<br \/>\n* Manage food preparation and cooking times efficiently.<br \/>\n* Menu Development:<br \/>\n* Collaborate with the Restaurant Manager to develop and refine menu items.<br \/>\n* Contribute creative ideas for new dishes and specials, incorporating local flavors and ingredients.<br \/>\n* Keep up-to-date with current food trends and customer preferences.<br \/>\n* Kitchen Management:<br \/>\n* Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment.<br \/>\n* Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations.<br \/>\n* Manage inventory and order supplies as needed.<br \/>\n* Minimize food waste and control costs.<br \/>\n* Ensure proper storage of all food items.<br \/>\n* Team Collaboration:<br \/>\n* Work closely with kitchen staff to ensure smooth and efficient service.<br \/>\n* Assist in training and mentoring junior kitchen staff.<br \/>\n* Communicate effectively with front-of-house staff.<br \/>\n* Customer Satisfaction:<br \/>\n* Ensure that all dishes are prepared to meet customer expectations.<br \/>\n* Address customer feedback and make necessary adjustments.<br \/>\n* Be able to adapt to customer dietary needs.<br \/>\nQualifications:<br \/>\n*Certificate or diploma in food production and other related fields<br \/>\n* Proven experience as a Chef or Cook in a restaurant setting.<br \/>\n* Strong knowledge of African and Western cuisine.<br \/>\n* Ability to prepare a wide range of dishes with consistent quality.<br \/>\n* Excellent culinary skills and attention to detail.<br \/>\n* Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices.<br \/>\n* Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.<br \/>\n* Strong organizational and time-management skills.<br \/>\n* A passion for food and a creative approach to cooking.<br \/>\n* Experience with local Zambian cuisine is very important.<br \/>\nSharing is Caring!
