Low Prices Pharmacy is looking for a Pharmacist.
\nKey Responsibilities:<\/p>\n
Dispenses medications by packaging, and labelling pharmaceuticals.
\nControls medications by monitoring drug therapies; advising interventions.
\nCompletes pharmacy operational requirements by organizing and directing technicians\u2019 workflow; verifying their preparation and labelling of pharmaceuticals; verifying order entries, charges, and inspections.
\nProvides pharmacological information by answering questions and requests of health care professionals, counselling patients on drug therapies.
\nDevelops staff\u2019s pharmacological knowledge by staying current with pharmacy issues, participating in clinical programs, training pharmacy staff.
\nComplies with state and federal drug laws as regulated by the state board of pharmacy, the drug enforcement administration, and the food and drug administration by removing outdated and damaged drugs from the pharmacy inventory; supervising the work results of support personnel; maintaining current registration; studying existing and new legislation; anticipating legislation; advising management on needed actions.
\nStays current and complies with Medicare and ZAMRA regulations.
\nProtects patients and technicians by adhering to infection-control protocols.
\nMaintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
\nMaintains pharmacological knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
\nContributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.<\/p>\n
Requirements:<\/p>\n
Degree or Diploma in Pharmacy.
\nRegistered Pharmacist with the Health Professions Council of Zambia (HPCZ).
\nValid practicing license.
\nAt least 2-year of experience in a retail or hospital pharmacy.
\nStrong attention to detail and customer service skills.
\nGood communication and computer literacy.<\/p>\n
