Background:<br \/>\nCoalition Health Zambia (CHZ) is committed to promoting strong financial accountability and internal controls across all its operations. The Finance Intern will support the Finance Department by assisting with day-to-day clerical financial work, ensuring completeness and accuracy of financial records and supporting efficient document management.<br \/>\n2. Purpose of the Role:<br \/>\nThe purpose of the Finance Intern role is to provide support in the maintenance of accurate and complete financial records, assist in the both hardcopy and e-scanning of finance documentation, help identify and rectify any gaps in vouching and supporting documentation, and support with any month end close activities as assigned to him<br \/>\n3. Key Responsibilities:<br \/>\nPerform general clerical duties in the Finance Department.<br \/>\nSupport the filing of financial documents in accordance with CHZ\u2019s filing system.<br \/>\nScan and electronically archive finance documents to ensure soft copies are well maintained.<br \/>\nReview all payment vouchers to ensure they are complete and properly filed.<br \/>\nIdentify any missing documents or gaps in the voucher sequences and report findings to the Finance Manager.<br \/>\nPrepare summaries or checklists to track missing or incomplete vouchers.<br \/>\nAssist with the labelling and organization of finance files and archives.<br \/>\nSupport with retrieving documents for audit and compliance checks when required.<br \/>\nSupport Month end closeout and updating advance aging analysis<br \/>\nMaintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial information with integrity.<br \/>\nPerform any other finance-related duties as assigned by the supervisor.<br \/>\n4. Required Qualifications and Skills:<br \/>\nCurrently pursuing or recently completed a diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.<br \/>\nGood organizational skills and attention to detail.<br \/>\nBasic understanding of accounting or financial documentation.<br \/>\nProficient in Microsoft Office applications (especially Word and Excel).<br \/>\nGood communication and interpersonal skills.<br \/>\nAbility to work under supervision and maintain confidentiality.<br \/>\n5. Supervision and Reporting:<br \/>\nThe Finance Intern will work under the direct supervision of the Finance Manager and may also support other finance staff as needed.<br \/>\nSharing is Caring!
