\nPOSITION: Infrastructure Operations Manager
\nLOCATION: Lusaka, Head Office
\nJOB PURPOSE
\nThe Infrastructure Operations Manager will be responsible for leading, planning, implementation, and maintenance of robust IT infrastructure to support business operations. The role ensures the availability, security, and performance of all IT systems, including networks, and cloud services, while aligning with regulatory requirements and business goals
\nREPORTING LINE
\nReports to: Chief Information Officer
\nKEY RESPONSIBILITIES
\n1.\u00a0 \u00a0System maintenance and monitoring:<\/p>\n
Ensure that all IT infrastructure components, including enterprise networks, servers, and storage systems, are operating efficiently. This includes regular monitoring, performance tuning, and implementing necessary updates or patches<\/p>\n
2.\u00a0 \u00a0 Strategic infrastructure planning<\/p>\n
Develop and implement IT infrastructure strategies in line with business objectives\/requirements
\nPlan for scalability, integrate new technologies and ensure long term infrastructure sustainability.<\/p>\n
3.\u00a0 \u00a0 Cybersecurity<\/p>\n
Implement and manage cybersecurity protocols to protect the organization\u2019s IT environment from threats.<\/p>\n
4.\u00a0 \u00a0Business Continuity and Disaster recovery planning<\/p>\n
Develop and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
\nRegularly test systems and protocols to ensure preparedness.<\/p>\n
5.\u00a0 \u00a0 Vendor and Asset Administration<\/p>\n
Collaborate with external vendors and manage IT asset lifecycle, including procurement, licensing, and inventory.<\/p>\n
6.\u00a0 \u00a0 Continuous Improvement Events and Activities<\/p>\n
Actively participate in departmental and organizational continuous improvement activities
\nDrive innovation and efficiency through process enhancement.<\/p>\n
7.\u00a0 \u00a0 Budgeting<\/p>\n
Collaborate on the development of budgets, forecasts, resourcing, cost of services, and planning activities.
\nOptimize resource allocation to maximize service delivery.<\/p>\n
8.\u00a0 \u00a0 Service Desk Oversight<\/p>\n
Implement ITIL-based service management practices, including incident,\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0problem, and change management. Track and report on service desk KPIs and user satisfaction metrics<\/p>\n
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE<\/p>\n
Bachelor\u2019s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related discipline
\nCertifications in CCNA, ITIL, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate or other relevant certification
\nA Minimum of 5 years\u2019 experience in infrastructure management or a similar role<\/p>\n
