We are\u00a0 inviting applications for the position of Heavy Duty Mechanic to join our maintenance department. The ideal candidate must have a minimum of 5 years\u2019e xperience, preferably in a mine, factory, or similar industrial setting, with strong expertise in working on heavy equipment, light vehicles (diesel and petrol engines), and hydraulic systems.Knowledge in auto-electrical systems will be an added advantage.
\nKey Responsibilities:<\/p>\n
Diagnose and repair faults on heavy-duty machines and equipment.
\nService and maintain light vehicles powered by both petrol and diesel engines.
\nInspect, repair, and maintain hydraulic systems.
\nPerform scheduled preventative maintenance and maintain service records.
\nConduct equipment inspections to ensure operational safety and compliance.
\nWork collaboratively with other technicians and departments to resolve complex mechanical issues.
\nMaintain a safe, clean, and efficient workshop environment.<\/p>\n
Qualifications & Requirements:<\/p>\n
Full grade 12 certificate
\nCraft Certificate, Diploma or Degree in Heavy Equipment Repair, Automotive Mechanics, or related field.
\nAt least 5 years of hands-on experience in a heavy industrial, mining, or factory environment.
\nProven ability to diagnose and repair both heavy machinery and light vehicles.
\nStrong knowledge and experience in hydraulic systems.
\nAuto-electrical knowledge will be an added advantage.
\nGood problem-solving and analytical skills.
\nAbility to work independently with minimal supervision.
\nHigh attention to detail and adherence to safety standards.<\/p>\n
