Purpose of the role:
\nTo ensure compliance with OEM standards on all components under repair and to be the approver for all outgoing components by confirming compliance with specifications by conducting visual and measurements tests and rejecting\/returning unacceptable materials.
\nReports to:\u00a0Senior Quality Control
\nBranch:\u00a0Lusaka
\nKey Responsibilities:
\nThe Quality Control Inspector will be required to perform the following tasks:<\/p>\n
Measure the strain, stress and hardness of the gears before and after operation.
\nCarry out dimensional measurements
\nAbility to use the XRD machine to measure gears and shafts in the REMAN workshop.
\nAble to carry out random inspections on parts(gears) that have been assessed.
\nAble to carry responsibility for calibration of equipment and dosimeters.
\nHelp with the management of tools in the workshop.
\nCollect data from the XRD and share with the supervisor Quality Control and the Radiation Protection Officer.
\nTake record of dosimeter doses and the survey meter.
\nAnalyze physical properties such as phase composition, crystal structure orientation of powder, and solid samples
\nThe inspector shall also help with scrap management at Reman.
\nCorrect PPE worn as per safety policy.
\nPerform additional duties or responsibilities assigned by the supervisor.<\/p>\n
Minimum Qualifications and Experience<\/p>\n
Must have a full Grade 12 certificate.
\nCraft Certificate or better in Heavy Equipment repair (HER)\/ Power Electrical\/ Machinist or any related field.
\nMinimum of 3 years\u2019 progressive experience.
\nPracticing member of EIZ<\/p>\n

\nProficient in computer skills (MS Office)
\nSafety and Quality Awareness
\nAdvanced knowledge of Machines & Equipment
\nStrong understanding of component identification and gear identification.
