\nThe P&C Facultative Underwriter will be responsible for evaluating, pricing, and underwriting complex property and casualty risks on a facultative basis. This role requires a deep understanding of the reinsurance market, strong analytical skills, and the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and brokers.
\nKey Responsibilities
\n1.\u00a0\u00a0 Risk Assessment and Underwriting<\/p>\n
Evaluate and underwrite complex property and casualty risks on a facultative basis.
\nAnalyze exposure and loss data to determine appropriate terms, conditions, and pricing.
\nMake informed underwriting decisions in line with company guidelines and risk appetite.<\/p>\n
2.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Pricing and Negotiation<\/p>\n
Develop and implement pricing strategies for facultative reinsurance risks.
\nNegotiate terms and conditions with brokers and clients to secure profitable business.
\nEnsure competitive positioning while maintaining profitability targets.<\/p>\n
3.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Relationship Management<\/p>\n
Build and maintain strong relationships with brokers, clients, and other stakeholders.
\nProvide exceptional service and support to clients, ensuring their needs are met promptly and professionally.
\nRepresent the company at industry events and meetings to enhance market presence and reputation.<\/p>\n

Monitor and manage the performance of the facultative portfolio, ensuring alignment with company objectives.

\nCollaborate with other underwriting teams to ensure a balanced and diversified portfolio.<\/p>\n

Ensure all underwriting activities comply with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
\nMaintain accurate and up-to-date underwriting records and documentation.
\nPrepare regular reports on underwriting performance, including analysis and insights for management.<\/p>\n

Stay updated with industry trends, market conditions, and best practices in facultative reinsurance.

Qualifications
\nEducation: Bachelor\u2019s degree in Business, Finance, Insurance, or a related field. Advanced degrees or relevant certifications (e.g., ACII, FCII) are preferred.
\nExperience: Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in reinsurance or insurance at a senior underwriter level with strong technical competence and experience structuring and placing facultative reinsurance.
