\nPROCUREMENT OFFICER \u2013 MPONGWEE FEEDMILL (X1)
\nThe Skills Required for this role Include:<\/p>\n
\u00a0Receiving purchase requisitions from end-user departments.
\n\u00a0Assessing the supply market for products and services concerning price and quality.
\nObtaining quotes from suppliers.
\nLiaising with requesting departments to assist in defining specifications for requirements to the supplier.
\nProcessing purchase orders (in pastel) and submitting them to respective signatories for authorization.
\nResolving value\/quality discrepancies of the supplied items through formal supplier complaints and following up on feedback.
\nEnsuring payment\/prepayments (if terms require so) are done to suppliers.
\nChecking GRNs to ensure they are correctly filled in.
\nChasing up with suppliers concerning shipment of items.
\nCommunicating with the weighbridge manager to ensure the value\/volume of weighable items is appropriate.
\nMaintaining purchasing records, reports, supplier databases, and price lists.
\nPerforms any other task assigned to him by his superior.<\/p>\n

\nThe Required Qualifications are:<\/p>\n
Grade 12 Certificate
\nDegree in Purchasing and Supply or equivalent.
\nMinimum 3 years of work experience
\nMust be a Member of ZIPS<\/p>\n

\nProblem-solving skills: able to resolve issues within the department
\nDecision making: ability to make decisions
\nMentoring and coaching: mentoring and coaching supervisors and subordinates
