VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT
\nThe Technical Education, Vocational and Entrepreneurship Training Authority (TEVETA) is a body corporate established under the Technical Education, Vocational and Entrepreneurship Training (TEVET) Act No. 13 of 1998 and the TEVET (Amendment) Act No. 11 of 2005.
\nTEVETA was established to regulate, monitor, and co-ordinate Technical Education, Vocational, and Entrepreneurship Training in consultation with industry, employers, workers, and other stakeholders.
\nTEVETA wishes to recruit qualified and experienced Zambians to fill the following vacant positions.
\nAssessment Specialist- (Local Government & HOSPITALITY PROGRAMS) x1
\n1.1 Overall Purpose of the Job
\nMonitoring and facilitating the conduct of TEVET examinations and Qualifications to effectively measure training standards.
\n1.2 Key Responsibilities
\na)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Facilitates the conduct of national examinations
\nb)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Plan and budget for the examination development process.
\nc)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Approves enrolments and examination registrations.
\nd)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Facilitates workshops for assessors\/examiners so as to equip them with quality skills and knowledge of setting, moderation, and marking of examinations.
\ne)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Leads in the Development of test items and assures quality in item writing, panel setting, moderation, and proofreading processes.
\nf)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Facilitates the development and implementation of assessment tools aligned with program objectives, ensuring validity, reliability, and fairness.
\ng)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Maintains test items in the bank at optimum levels.
\nh)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Submits camera ready examination papers and adheres to the security protocols.
\ni)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Facilitates the marking process by ensuring marking schemes, question papers, and other relevant documents for use during marking are in place.
\nj)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Prepares monthly reports and activity reports.
\nk)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Analyses examination results and programme reports
\nl)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Adheres to performance measures in order to meet the strategic objectives of the TEVETA.
\nm)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Prints examinations and other related materials.
\nn)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Prepares the results booklet for approval by the Board.
\no)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Ensures that assessment processes comply with industry standards and regulatory guidelines.
\n1.3 Required Skills and Competencies:
\na)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Strong understanding of assessment principles, TEVET curriculum, and quality assurance.
\nb)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with ability to work with diverse stakeholders.
\nc)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Proficiency in data analysis and reporting for program evaluation.
\nd)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Capacity to train and mentor educators on assessment practices.
\ne)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with adaptability to change.
\n1.4 Minimum Qualifications
\na)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Degree in Business Administration and any other business-related Qualification
\nb)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Diploma in Teaching Methodology or Equivalent
\nc)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Valid Accreditation as a Trainer \/Examiner
\nd)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Valid Membership of a business-related association will be an added advantage
\n1.5 Minimum Experience
\na)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Two (2) years of experience in setting, moderating, and marking examinations.
