\nJob Summary
\nDonoli\u2019s Kitchen is seeking a dedicated and proactive Restaurant Supervisor to assist the Restaurant Manager in overseeing daily operations. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on leader with a passion for hospitality, able to ensure exceptional customer satisfaction and support the team and also someone that stays in silverest. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining our high standards.
\nResponsibilities
\n* Operational Support:
\n* Assist the Restaurant Manager in overseeing daily operations and ensuring smooth, efficient service.
\n* Help with inventory management, including ordering, receiving, and stock control.
\n* Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and hygiene regulations.
\n* Supervise the cleanliness and organization of the dining area and kitchen.
\n* Team Supervision:
\n* Help train and supervise front-of-house staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
\n* Assist with staff scheduling and ensuring all shifts are adequately covered.
\n* Address staff concerns and help resolve minor conflicts promptly.
\n* Motivate the team to provide excellent customer service.
\n* Customer Service:
\n* Ensure all guests receive exceptional service.
\n* Address customer inquiries and resolve complaints professionally and efficiently, escalating issues to the manager when necessary.
\n* Help maintain a welcoming and friendly atmosphere for all customers, especially our UNILUS student regulars.
\n* Financial & Administrative Tasks:
\n* Assist in monitoring daily sales and expenses.
\n* Accurately handle cash and payment transactions and support end-of-day reporting.
\n* Help implement strategies to increase sales and reduce costs.
\n* Marketing & Menu Support:
\n* Assist in implementing marketing promotions and special events.
\n* Work with kitchen staff to ensure consistent food quality and presentation.
\n* Help gather customer feedback on menu items and local food preferences.
\nQualifications
\n* Proven experience in a supervisory or senior-level role within the hospitality industry.
\n* Strong knowledge of restaurant operations, including food and beverage service and customer relations.
\n* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
\n* Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
\n* Basic problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
\n* Familiarity with local food and beverage trends in Lusaka is highly desirable.
\n* Knowledge of basic computer skills.
\n* Ability to speak local languages is a plus.<\/p>\n
