What you would be expected to do:

Ensure that the company is compliant with all national regulations to operate an LPG distribution business.
\nEnsure all licenses are up to date<\/p>\n
Onboarding and vendor management<\/p>\n
Research and onboard LPG suppliers in the country.
\nAssess LPG suppliers to ensure they are compliant with all country regulations on LPG handling, transportation, and distribution.
\nWork with the procurement team to ensure timely payments for gas, cylinders, and other expenses in accordance with the set credit terms.<\/p>\n
Last-mile deliveries<\/p>\n
Check and recommend the best transportation models, from depots to shops to customers. Reduce costs and travel times to clients and back to the depots.
\nOversee the management of transport assets, including motorcycles and trucks
\nProcess Optimization:\u00a0Develop and refine order management, inventory control, and delivery routing processes to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
\nBuild customer-centric processes that ensure timely and cost-efficient delivery.
\nPerformance Monitoring:\u00a0Implement KPIs and dashboards to monitor the performance of last-mile delivery operations. Use these metrics to drive continuous improvement.
\nTraining: Provide training and help to field team members involved in LPG operations.
\nStakeholder Engagement:\u00a0Work closely with sales agents and retail operations teams to know their needs and ensure seamless delivery processes.<\/p>\n
Inventory management<\/p>\n
Ensure company assets, including LPG measurement devices, cylinders, and gas, are managed and accounted for by rigorous process implementation and controls, resulting in <2% of unaccounted inventory loss.
\nCost Management:\u00a0Identify hidden costs and implement strategies to reduce them. Ensure that delivery expenses align with budget forecasts.
\nTechnology Integration:\u00a0Leverage technology solutions (e.g., delivery tracking software) to enhance the visibility and efficiency of delivery operations.<\/p>\n
You might be a strong candidate if you:<\/p>\n
Bachelor\u2019s degree in supply chain management, operations, business administration, or a related field.
\nGood knowledge and experience in logistics, supply chain management, or last-mile delivery operations.
\nStrong problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data.
\nExcellent project management skills with a track record of successful process improvement initiatives.
\nExperience working with third-party delivery vendors and negotiating contracts.
\nProficiency in using logistics and delivery management software.
\nStrong communication and stakeholder management skills.
\nAbility to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
\nPropose and pilot new delivery methods, such as using tuk-tuks or motorcycles.
\nMonitor and evaluate the impact of implemented changes on delivery efficiency and agent productivity.
\nProvide regular reports and recommendations to senior management on delivery optimization strategies.<\/p>\n
