\nJob Summary:
\nThe Guest House Supervisor ensures smooth daily operations, overseeing kitchen, laundry, and housekeeping staff to maintain high standards of cleanliness, food quality, and guest satisfaction. This role involves staff supervision, inventory management, and ensuring compliance with hygiene and safety regulations.
\nKey Responsibilities:
\nStaff Supervision & Training:<\/p>\n
Supervise and coordinate the work of cooks, laundry attendants, and housekeeping staff.
\nAssign daily tasks, monitor performance, and provide guidance.
\nConduct training for new staff on guest house procedures (cleaning, laundry, food prep).
\nAddress performance issues and report to management.<\/p>\n
Kitchen & Laundry Oversight:<\/p>\n
Ensure meals are prepared on time, hygienically, and meet quality standards.
\nMonitor kitchen cleanliness, food storage, and waste management.
\nOversee laundry operations, ensuring linens\/guest clothes are cleaned and handled properly.
\nInspect laundry equipment maintenance and report malfunctions.<\/p>\n
Inventory & Supplies Management:<\/p>\n
Track stock levels of food, cleaning supplies, and laundry detergents.
\nPlace orders with suppliers as needed (within budget).
\nMinimize waste and control operational costs.<\/p>\n
Guest Service & Quality Control:<\/p>\n
Ensure guest rooms, dining, and laundry services meet expectations.
\nHandle guest complaints or special requests related to housekeeping\/meals.
\nConduct routine inspections of rooms, kitchen, and laundry areas.<\/p>\n
Administrative Duties:<\/p>\n
Prepare work schedules and ensure adequate staffing.
\nMaintain records (inventory logs, staff attendance, incident reports).
\nReport maintenance issues to management promptly.<\/p>\n
Qualifications & Skills:<\/p>\n
Diploma or Higher Certificate in Hotel Management, Hospitality Business, or related field.
\nPrevious supervisory experience in hospitality (guest house, hotel, or similar). Knowledge of housekeeping, laundry, and basic kitchen operations.
\nStrong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
\nAbility to multitask and work under pressure.
\nFamiliarity with health, safety, and hygiene regulations.
\nBasic computer skills (for inventory\/record-keeping).<\/p>\n
