The Company cultivates, processes, and markets tropical fruits, primarily bananas, for both domestic and export markets. Originally developed as an agricultural project, Mununshi was revitalized under the Industrial Development Corporation (IDC) to advance rural development, food security, and job creation through agro-industrial growth. It aims to serve as a model for sustainable and inclusive commercial fruit farming in Zambia.<br \/>\nThe Company is looking to fill the following position:<br \/>\nHUMAN RESOURCE AND ADMINISTRATION OFFICER<br \/>\nRole Overview:<br \/>\nThis role is responsible for managing all human capital and administrative functions within the company. The role involves implementing HR policies, managing talent acquisition, overseeing employee relations, performance management, training and development, and ensuring compliance with labour laws. Additionally, the position involves managing administrative services to support operational efficiency.<br \/>\nKey Roles and Responsibilities:<br \/>\n1.HR Strategy and Policy Implementation:<\/p>\n<p>Implement HR strategies and policies aligned with the company\u2019s goals.<br \/>\nEnsure compliance with labor laws and employment regulations.<br \/>\nRegularly review and update HR policies to reflect changes in the business environment and labor laws.<\/p>\n<p>2.\u00a0Talent Acquisition:<\/p>\n<p>Coordinate recruitment, selection, and onboarding processes to attract and retain talent.<br \/>\nDevelop job descriptions and specifications for new positions.<br \/>\nConduct interviews and manage the hiring process.<br \/>\nCollaborate with department heads to identify staffing needs and create recruitment plans.<\/p>\n<p>3.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Employee Relations:<\/p>\n<p>Manage employee relations, disciplinary procedures, and grievance handling in compliance with labor laws.<br \/>\nFoster a positive work environment and address employee concerns.<br \/>\nImplement employee engagement initiatives to enhance workplace culture.<\/p>\n<p>4.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Performance Management:<\/p>\n<p>Coordinate in implementing performance management systems to enhance employee productivity.<br \/>\nConduct performance appraisals and provide feedback to employees.<br \/>\nDevelop performance improvement plans for underperforming employees.<\/p>\n<p>5.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Compensation and Benefits:\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Administer compensation, payroll, and benefits management.<br \/>\nEnsure timely and accurate processing of payroll and benefits.<br \/>\nConduct regular salary reviews and benchmark against industry standards.<\/p>\n<p>6.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Training and Development:<\/p>\n<p>Identify training needs and coordinate employee development programs.<br \/>\nSupport career development and succession planning initiatives.<br \/>\nEvaluate the effectiveness of training programs and make necessary adjustments.<\/p>\n<p>7.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Administrative Services:<\/p>\n<p>Maintain and oversee administrative services to support operational efficiency.<br \/>\nManage office supplies, equipment, and facilities.<br \/>\nEnsure efficient and effective administrative operations.<\/p>\n<p>8.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Workplace Safety and Compliance:\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Oversee workplace safety, security, and compliance with occupational health regulations.<br \/>\nImplement safety programs and ensure a safe working environment.<br \/>\nConduct regular safety audits and training sessions.<\/p>\n<p>Minimum Qualifications &amp; Experience<\/p>\n<p>Grade 12 Certificate with five (5) O Levels.<br \/>\nDiploma in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, Public Administration, Industrial Relations, or a related field.<br \/>\nProfessional membership with the Zambia Institute of Human Resource Management.<br \/>\nMinimum of three (3) years of work experience in management or similar position.<br \/>\nStrong understanding of Zambian labour laws and employment regulations.<br \/>\nKnowledge &amp; Skills Requirements<\/p>\n<p>You must posses the following skills and knowledge:<\/p>\n<p>Strategic and leadership skills<br \/>\nAbility to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.<br \/>\nGood interpersonal skills.<br \/>\nExcellent problem-solving skills.<br \/>\nStrong report writing, communication and presentation skills.<br \/>\nStrong, negotiation skills and tact.<br \/>\nProficient in using computers<\/p>\n<p>Sharing is Caring!
